    Mip needs to sell a tool set with everything in it including a tool bag. I would buy one !

      It would have a pretty large price tag...but they are working on a bag solution

    I still own and use my original Thorp wrenches I bought when I first got into RC way back in the late 80’s/90’s Mip has done a great job over the years not only keeping an iconic RC tool around but also adapting the line up to meet the needs of the current RC enthusiast. I actually need to lighten my tool load for track days and loose the big clunky 3 drawer tool box I’ve tried several things over the years but always end up back to the tool box I guess as an automotive tech some habits are hard to break

    Your the man rick, I always wanted to have something like this but always thought I would have found it all put together for me lol!!! Guess I’m gonna have to put it together just like you!!! Great investment!!!

    I need to get me a new tool set for my rc trucks. because the last one's i had round off the tips. and round off my hex screws for working on . And because of that my stampede 4x4 has been broke now for least 2 years. which i want to get fixed asap. and some more upgrades to it.

    Really enjoyed the video. I'm getting back into the hobby and looking to upgrade my tools. Have you tried the Arrowmax tool set? Would love to hear you review them and compare against the mip set

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  5 років тому +1

      I have seen arrowmax, and they seem to have a good rep. I wouldn't trade my MIP's for anything though.

    Are their any quality differences between the Factory Team and Protek shock shaft pliers?

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  7 років тому

      The quality of aluminum seems better in the FT and it is much smaller package over all - also easier on the hands. The Protek does have the Ball out feature to pop rod end balls out of the socket....On the other hand, the Tekno version has a ball in, ball out and all shock shaft diamteters.....plus some other features for building 17mm and 12mm shocks

  • @curtiscampbell4897
    @curtiscampbell4897 7 років тому

    Do you still like the Tekno shock tool? I was planning on getting it.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  7 років тому

      My all time favorite....Especially the ball in and ball out feature. The Team Associated fits better in the case

  • @joeddejohn

    Maybe if you go back to Losi some of the Sae sizes will be more handy.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  7 років тому +1

      Not all Losi...Rock Rey, 22, etc are all metric

    MIP for the win! I'm a big fan also. Do you not use the speed tip bits in a powered screwdriver? I couldn't go without the MIP speed tip bits.
    You should get a Knipex Tools 86 03 125 5-Inch Mini Pliers Wrench www.amazon.com/dp/B00I8N282O/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_Xf9KzbXZCYXDC. It comes in real handy sometimes. It basically takes the place of shock pliers. Pricy but high quality and that seems to be the theme of your tool collection.
    I also use the Dynamite DYN2940 for my ball end hex's.
    Great video!
