The tip about imagining you're talking to a friend is really good. I try to imagine my target audience is my wife, or a family member. It makes you far less nervous than if you imagine you're talking to a huge audience.

Thank you Trond for your thoughts. I've been doing similar work for a couple of years, but I also have to do the "real work". The hardest part is finding the time. Telling a story is indeed also difficult (besides speaking English). In the field, you have to constantly think about the climax of the story and how to keep the tension up. I've found that what I like most about videos like yours is the story and the atmosphere, not necessarily the species of bird you're shooting. The location can also be just as well in your own neighbourhood, because the story is the most important thing. This was a good video. Please do tell us more.

A lot of folks don't know the time and effort that goes into videos. Your audience sees 10 minutes on something that took you over 30 hours to create. Not knowing how well or how poor it will perform. However it's extremely rewarding to give back to people in some way and create your own community of like minded people from all over the world. All your points are 100%, Trond. I've also found that the photos we take in our own backyards are really important. It doesn't have to be the grand locations or epic wildlife What we think is boring is interesting to someone else. I shoot mainly eagles and waterfowl because it's my local wildlife. Something inside of us are easily self sabotaging when it comes to our own creativity our own local area and our joy in the field. What an awesome time it is though to be a wildlife photographer.
Keep up the great work brother. 📸

Thanks for the great tips . I particularly resonate with your first tip. Thomas Heaton said the other day in his video tips "you have to set out to make a video" and not concentrate on the subject as much . As I love to get the shot, this is so difficult for me. But your final tip of Storytelling is probably the most difficult to master. Still struggling on but persistence and perseverance like in wildlife photography does pay off ! Always keen to learn so keep them coming Trond 👍

Trond, I found your channel around 2019. You inspired me to really put more effort into my channel. I have a full-time job and it's tough for me to make videos constantly. I did one video being in front of the camera and have plans for more. As you mentioned it's a bit uncomfortable. Lol
Thank you for inspiring me! I always look forward to your videos! Greg

I’ve had a UA-cam channel for 5 years now, it’s a small channel still, but my tip is to stay consistent. I notice an increase in subscribers when I’m consistent, and vice versa 😊

Thanks for some great tips. I think the hardest part for me is talking to the camera, as you mentioned, it doesn't come naturally but does get a little easier with practice. Keep up the good work Trond. Regards John. 👍

Hi Trond, your videos are so inspiring for everyone that is interested in wildlife. It's nice that you pass on your knowledge. Being yourself when filming is probably the most important insight and it's not easy to implement. Thank you for all your interesting videos! Hilsen fra Sveits - Heini

Thank you for this video. I am struggling for months now to start a UA-cam channel just like your style. Like being actually out and shooting. And am still struggling how to start. I have so many videos and am having so many difficulties to take the time to edit them right and all these stuff. But definitely what I like more is the adrenaline of the process of taking the pictures.

For a one-man show you do an excellent job. One question: How about polar bears? It wouldn`t be cheap but very interesting.

I have done a few videos over the last year. It is hard to consistently find different and interesting things to film without doing the same as everyone else. And the time needed for editing can be a problem
