Got my 111-4 today to Play it with the sinfonion chord section. Now i need the 3 other modules. It Sounds absolutely beautiful. I thank the 111-4 might be Boy far the best Quad Osci. I ever heard.
I would really love it if Doepfer made a quad version of their SEM filter. The filter he chose to quad-ify, the 2144 architecture iirc, has a significant volume drop out with increased resonance. This is problematic since this oscillator is already kinda quiet and doepfer mixers clip quite easily when you start adding gain to try to compensate.
I am adding this system to my rig as well. So nice to see a demo of it with the Keystep Pro and its 4 channels of poly-sequencing. One question though, does the system need x2 of the A-141-4 adsr (one for filter/one for the vca)?
Yeah I was going to bring this up also. The lack of mults on the envelope outs means that either (a) the filter cutoff is static, or at least only globally modulated, or (b) they are using the internal envelope connection to the filter. But I was under the impression that the internal envelope output headers were just a normalled connection that would be overridden if the envelope outputs jacks are plugged. Personally, with my doepfer quad system I either use stackables on my A-141-4 to send the same envelope to both the vcf and vca, or I use a Quadigy for the second envelope, which is also capable of controlling all 4 channels simultaneously.
My Doepfer poly system uses two of the ADSRs, but I also have two sets of LFOs and I’m using four of the little multi mode filters as well as the poly low pass, plus a number of cross fading switching utilities 👍
I know this is a year ago, but I'm building a similar setup. I'm using the octal switch to switch between my midi/keyboard signal path, and my sequencer signal path, pending on what I need in the moment! Dieter uses it for the same use case here: ua-cam.com/video/PNZFC-10g1E/v-deo.htmlsi=bsmGXE5wH0MjFPPz&t=891
Maybe you missed the polyphony. You can't actually make a melody like that with most modular synth voices because most modular synth voices are monophonic. You could do that with multiple modular synth voices, but with relatively few exceptions, they will: (a) not all sound like the same voice and be capable of clean, cohesive chords and/or (b) take up significantly more hp and be more expensive than this system.
Very nice composition. The melody is fairly complex and nice. The modulation really brings it alive.

Came to check out the modules. Stayed for the lush sounds 🔥

get a preamp?
Sounds like optimism 😊
That was a lovely melody.
Gorgeous track, beautiful rig !
Beautiful! 👌🤩👍 Sounds like something I might have done on a good day, if I was lucky!
Sounds great
Awesome

Oh on second watch, it appears they are just modulating the vcf channels with separate lfos.

Sounds great. I confused about the octal switch. How are you using it?

bien la séquence musicale
amazing: all the modular possibilities and you patch a subtractive arpeggio that can be done with a trillion synths just by turning them on

Modular can only ever be used to do things other synths can't do!
@@eighth_wave yeah... please join our modular police!
