We Grew Up So Well is a VideoSong, a new medium with 2 rules:
    1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice).
    2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds).
We Grew Up So Well, by Jack Conte
    Lyrics:
Staring at a trash can, thinking about the things you've thrown away. You love our pretty planet, yeah, but not enough to stay. No, please don't go! You always took care of your hands. How could you break them like you did? Like a bug on a window. Is that what you wanted to be? A moment's pause? All you see is madness. Nobody can show you the method. No please, wait, no! So I remember you in lyric, recycled soul reborn as ink from a desperate pen. Is that what you wanted to be? Just a topic of mine? Oh, I dream of your soul, I wish you could know that we grew up so well. Oh, you didn't know. You didn't know that soon you'd be okay. Echoing bellows, so slow like gallows. Is that what you wanted to be? A still life's pose? A photograph? A story told? A friend I had?

Blast from the past. I follow your Scary Pockets and other recent stuff and YT fed me this one. Fantastic! I have a question. Are these from live takes or did you record the audio then shoot. I’ve tried and it’s hard enough being artist and engineer at once but then synching video from multiple takes,… wow!

I feel like Jack isn't talked about enough. His songs are underrated and the views are so low considering all of his vids are from decades ago. Most vids would've had at least 10M views if the vid's at least a decade old. Yet even his best song imo, Kitchen Fork, is still at 836K views. Unbelievable.
But then I remember that he co-founded Patreon and is the CEO and he started Pomplamoose with his lovely and equally as talented wife Nataly. He's successful, yet still underrated.

Very few things blow my mind. but this song succeeded in doing so. The video aspect of it complimented the song very well in its originality and in portraying the singer's emotion. On the other hand, I can't think of anything visual that would truly do this song justice (I'm not an artist).
