I haven’t ridden a bike in about 30 years. Yes I wish I had the funds to get one, but even if I never do, I still enjoy all of your content. You were super respectful and kind. I also love how passionate you are about forgotten angels. (the Castlevania references were icing on the cake)

You're right about the BRP. Not the most thrilling road on the planet, but man it is beautiful. However, a thunderstorm with hail made it pretty exciting today! Very proud of Miss Ellie for going on her longest ride. That is awesome! 😊
My wife and I enjoyed Lake Lure last year. We got married at Mountain Lake lodge in Pembroke, VA. Where most of the filming of Dirty Dancing took place. We had to make it to Lake Lure as well. I didn't bring the bike but enjoyed the roads still. We stayed in a neat little cabin. Anyways, always cool to see us cross paths. NC native

Happy birthday, Ellie! I remember my first long road trip at 16 years old from Northern Ontario, Canada to Southern Ontario to visit my father in prison. The reason for the ride sucked, but it was still a good ride. Ride safe, and enjoy it.
Made my first ‘big’ trip too when I was 16, on a Honda C50 100km away to the beach. Reason why I still love scooters.

I get that. I live 2 blocks from the waterfront and we have a lot of windstorms. I go down there just to be there.
I got my first tattoo when I was 15 in lake lure. The tattoo shop was right outside of a biker bar that wasn’t too picky about the age of it’s patrons.
If you get to N.Y. again Salmon River Falls is quite spectacular . And our roads are twisty and hills quite often . Fingerlakes loops are great. shops , wineries, cideries, Amish markets. Farmland and Forests .
Adirondacks is a whole other level of exploration.
Also, my first bike was a V-Strom 650! Absolutely love it!
The blue ridge from Cherokee to Asheville is freaking beautiful man. Last year I was there alone at the end of April. It was amazing being there basically alone. I rarely passed a car.
50 years ago my first adventure was a ride around the block. That was all it took. Lead on to my first bike an ER185 Suzuki road/trail.
She'll be coming around the mountain when she comes!

I’m glad you got to see Caesar’s Head, Josh. I live about an hour from there, I run that loop through Caesar’s head, through Brevard, and back down thru Pickens all the time. Glad you got to ride these roads, I’m lucky to live near great roads, upstate SC is great riding.

When you went to the Pisgah forest it's an amazing ride in the fall . You were very close to my house . I don't live but 30 min from there I ride through there all the time in my Softail .

Is Ellie a May 4 baby too? I spent my birthday riding Ontario cottage country and doing a drop in visit to an old friend in that area. On my VStrom 650!! Funny enough I did stop to check out a Road King a guy is selling. That is a bike that will be added to the stable when the kids are out of the house and the wife is willing to ride with me again.
But till then it is Kevlar lined dad jeans and adventure bikes/dual sports for me.

Put some custom designs on my hand controls and pegs yesterday, first time dropping a bike, whipping a u turn up hill. Had to turn around for my brap star gloves 😂 found them on the walk back to Walmart!! Had to get some oil it decided to spill out on its side haha it’s was an eventful evening

At 33:36 when Ele reaches down & grabs her glove- uggh, my 5'8" ass has to put down my stand, get off my bike, walk around from the left side around the back to the right side, grab my glove, walk back around the tail to the left side, sling my leg over just in time to drop my glove again and restart the procedure of trying to get my glove...
