  • I love blender demos. I was at my local Costco and a guy was there doing a demo of the new 2018 Venturist V1200 Vitamix. It's a Bluetooth machine and you can use an app to program various recipes. Check it out!

    At 2:48, when the presenter was blending his ice drink he said the "blender stops intermittently sometimes if it thinks it's done". Notice the Vitamix screen displayed "E31". He then turned off the machine. If you do some research, this code actually means the machine was overheating and the thermal override kicked in. He definitely glossed over this.

      lol you stupid. Did you watch the whole video he ran the apple cider for about 7 minutes and it didnt over heat.

    • @daniellathe5989
      @daniellathe5989 5 років тому +21

      Actually he's right. Sure you can blend liquid for 7 minutes and it won't overheat, but try doing it with thick ingredients and it's a whole new ball game. Stupid? why not research before calling people stupid? Also during these demonstrations they use the blenders a lot and they can overheat in deed. I read a review that was saying the Ascent and Venturist will shut down with this error code when blending thick ice cream for about 45 seconds or more. The program cycle for ice cream on the Ascent is 55 seconds. The E3 code means the machine has overheated and this is also why he's turning it OFF and switching to the other machine for the rest of the demonstration because the first one need a good hour to cool down. So it was overheating, Period

      You are right. I have the 5000 series I bought 13 yrs ago. From time to time it will overheat if you blend with thick ingredients like more ice than wet ratio. Just let it rest for at least 15 minutes and you should be good to go.

    I saw this model online the other day. Yeah I am getting a vitamix soon. The only thing that bugs me is the base is quiet heavy. Thank you sugar for uploading this video. I really appreciate this.

      A light base will jump around when blending frozen ingredients. The weight keeps the machine stable on the counter

      the heavy base is for Stability, due to the power of the motor. I owned a Blentec...and it would jump around when i used it (due to the lighter base)

    Thank you for sharing this. It’s good being able to rewind and catch some of the seemingly glossed over statements. And it also helps with some of the great samples he produced! I didn’t think I’d like the app all that much but now that I’ve used it and changed the filter to be for vegan recipes, etc, it’s an even better product to have at home since now I make my oil free hummus, almond butter, and almond milk. But that cider looked like a winner! The reps told me it’s basically an A2300 with Bluetooth and extra containers. At $499, it’s a good deal. Is the A2500 (or even the A3500) including the containers and would I be missing on on anything by getting them instead of the Costco V1200?

    Wow! I just happened to stop by Costco today (Mother's Day) to look at the Ninja blender and food processor combo but everyone was gathered around this demo. It did not take long and I had everything they were selling in my cart! I never realized my luck and that they were deeply discounted just for today! Yay! Thanks for this video as he is demonstrating different recipes and this will be a helpful reference.

    I have both a Blendtec and Vitamix, both machines are fantastic! I prefer the original Blendtec and Vitamix. It could be that I abuse both blender and go crazy with them lol! I mean...I’m not blending sticks or anything, but I’m just give my babies a work out, haha. Vitamix is great for holidays when I’m making super thick mole and fill that 64oz to the top or Blendtec to serve smoothies and sorbets for the family quickly with no worrying of the product. If I bought a blender I would def buy it from Costco because if Vitamix screws you over then Costco has your back haha!

    Hey, our family is in the market for a new blender. After extensive research and loads of recommendations we have narrowed it down to either the ninja or the vita mix. Truthfully the Vitamix comes with higher recommendations. So now that we are trying to decide on a specific model. We live in Canada and Costco has a particular model on sale. Vitamix Explorian E320 + Personal Cup Adapter. On the Vitamix site they have a reconditioned model that is of great interest. Certified Reconditioned Venturist V1200. So now the million dollar question is which one do we select. Anyone have any additional thoughts, advice or suggestions. Any particular features that make one or the other stand out. It's a big investment and we want to make sure we make the right choice.

    If you order a rebuilt one from Vitamix Canada they throw in a 20oz cup plus the blending -blade base. So, this should mean the 1200 WILL detect the 8oz blending cup as well. Add a new carrafe and Perfect Blend book. Only negative---5-year warranty vs the 10...though for $99 more you can get another 3 years warranty. But then it wouldn't be worth buying. Might as well get a new a2300 or a2500. The rebuilt 1200 sells for $450.00.

    After all that, still prefer my ugly BlendTec blender over Vitamix...at least for smoothies. They've been doing the dull blade high speed thing for years, making containers easy to clean. Also prefer to have presets on the front of the machine rather than going through an app and having to access my phone. One thing he didn't explain to everyone is how he adjusted the speed from low to high when making the smoothie. My Blendtec has the speed changes programmed in at the press of one button.

      Joseph Azzato it was discounted. I bought one also. They Vitamix website & all sellers including Costco do a big sale for Mother’s Day every year. It was $70 off plus all containers & the scale are always cheaper even without the sale at Costco. They are not cheaper online.

    • @haylspa
      @haylspa 6 років тому

      actually they are this is the same as the a2300 which is the lowest offer on the ascent series, plus the costco version is the loudest of all vitamixs on the new versions including G series.. I am sure you feel like you got a deal but you did not

    • @ginasinko
      @ginasinko 6 років тому +1

      Joseph Azzato actually I considered the ascent 3500 but after calling vitamix & speaking to 2 representatives just to make sure they were both saying the same thing. They said 2300 does not have a “programmable” timer like the Venturist 1200 both representatives said it is the best deal getting the 8oz & 20oz containers with it & the blade scrapper. So I did get a good deal. The sound doesn’t bother me at . If I wanted the ascent I would have bought it. With the app I can get all the same presents that the ascent 3500 offers. So why not get the extra containers that would cost me an extra $200 plus. The vitamix customer service people both told me it’s the best deal for the money.

    • @haylspa
      @haylspa 6 років тому

      well as long as your happy with it thats what counts, I have a blending station advance and a quite one commercial blenders so apparently sound bothers me! sorry but the a2300 has a built in digital timer along with being able to use the app for custom time and blending along with container recognition the a3500 was worth the difference from the v1200 price tag heres one on ebay www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-Vitamix-A3500-Brushed-Stainless-Ascent-Series-Blender/132651907651?hash=item1ee2ab7a43:g:LWkAAOSwfo9a72Om
      how ever they don't come with all the containers so I see your point there! but me I can't change up my machine over the containers unless I would not be able to use them at all but thats me :) I like the advance container

    • @ginasinko
      @ginasinko 6 років тому +2

      Joseph Azzato thanks. I feel safer buying from Costco where I can return if I’m not satisfied, they stand behind their products. Vitamix also saying it’s a deal that can’t be beat. Sorry to say I don’t trust eBay. I’d buy form Costco or vitamix directly. You never know what you’re really getting from eBay. Vitamix recommends purchasing at Costco I doubt they would eBay. And if for some reason I decide I’m not 100% satisfied I can return it & order the A3500 from Vitamix. 😊

      I actually use the app constantly, for example; when I’m cooking and making something than i decided i need to clean the container for something else, i add hot water and soap I clean my dishes and even clean the vitamix container for my next recipe. It has the preset time so I know how much time I have to clean the container and do what i need to do. Plus it keeps me from over blending. ( I have the a 2500)

      its actually super helpful, it does basically everything for you. you pick the job you want the blender to do, the blender then automatically sets the timer and speed of the machine. giving you a perfect blend every time, whether you're making smoothies or a soup or ice cream

    • @joseanmx1
      @joseanmx1 3 роки тому

      Yeah, it's not just the time, but the right speeds, at the right times. What presenters usually tell you is to jump all the way to ten for everything, while the app make go in between speeds for the right blends.

    You DO NOT need bluetooth technology for a vitamix machine, it"s SO ridiculous that they had to come out with this model to appeal to all the techno geeks out there. Just buy the 5200 , plug it in and follow the recipes, NO smart phones needed ! OMG that"s SO old fashioned ! NO, we are just so spoiled by technology ! FYI the blendtech cannot do a smoothie better than a VITAMIX 5200 ! That"s why ,the culinary institute of america, professional chefs,Starbucks , Hell"s kitchen, smoothie king, dairy queen, food network, just to name a few, ALL chose the VITAMIX 5200 , WHY ? because for their business, they want THE BEST !!

      Well, I'm a BlackBerry kinda guy myself, and used to think the same way. I chose the v1200 over other models for its looks mostly, but once in front of the blender ready to go, it's so easy to just use the app to tell it what your making and have it go up and down and turn itself off than stand there holding it to to ten the whole time. Even the classic ones had a couple programmed settings; with the app you get all the settings.
