Hitler's secretary in an interview talks about her sadness to see a broken Germany

Hitler shoots himself in a bunker in Berlin next to Eva Braun, his wife of two days. Later, the secretary is apprehended by the Russians, she is saddened by the damage Hitler did to Germany .

No, that really is (a much older) Traudi Junge who was Hitler's main secretary, the one who took his dictation of his personal and political Wills in the Berlin bunker at the end. When she was a lot younger she appeared in a British documentary called "The World at War" a detailed documentary that I saw as a child over many weeks in hourly episodes. She escaped the bunker, was captured by the Russians who interrogated her many times and eventually got back to the American sector then her native Bavaria and lived quietly until her death in 2002. Her interview in The World at War is on UA-cam and very interesting. She's much younger then but you'll recognise her immediately.

I was just thinking the same thing. My husband & I actually collect things from WW2 for many years now. We are in our late 50’s & did not have to go thru those times but bcz my Grandfather & Grandmother raised me, they wld talk about what the world was like then. I really do think that generation was the Greastest Generation in modern times. They went thru horrific things but stood strong to fight against such tyranny. We want to learn all we can about it. We MUST! In order for it not to be repeated. However, many young people are not taught about those times anymore & even America is leaning towards the wrong thinking that started such horrors so long ago. Sad, so sad & it angers me bcz they will not listen & learn & see what is in front of them! Im praying for us all. 🙏🏻

They never point out that Britain and France turned it into a world war, not Germany. Germany was trying to get their ethnic minorities back resulted from the treaty.
