Here in Europe, field work has started, much earlier than in previous years... we are currently closing the furrow after plowing in November and the wheat is feeding. Greetings from Serbia🇷🇸
We are central IL half organic and half conventional farmers. We are doing maintenance on our equipment along with so planter upgrades. Hoping to start with so tillage later this week. My favorite tractor snack is chips and pop!!😂😂
Hi from Aberdeenshire Scotland. 840 acre Organic hobby farm here compared to you guys still to wet here for field work so feeding cattle, drainage and fencing, lambing/calving also!
Now you got me excited. We're not that far from you maybe 2 hours in Southern mn by albert lea. We just plant corn and beans and as you know we cant put corn in much before the 15th of April. So we have been working in the shop getting equipment ready. One planter is ready the other is in the shed waiting for the new tractor to get here before we can get it out. Diggers will be coming out of the shed next. Its kind of scary being this dry in February. Hope we get the rain this year and we can have a better crop than last year. We were short about 40 bushel an acre on corn and about 20 on beans. Rain makes grain, right? March is tournament time so mother nature usually gives us something! Have a good spring!
Scottsdale AZ, MLB Baseball Spring Training just started! Mid 70's and sunny this week. I believe irrigated farms already planted alfalfa, corn, and cotton, and it's also hay season. Thomas, I'm sure you like being in the field on tractors a whole lot more than in the chicken and egg barns.
im new here so pardon my ignorance, exactly who is Michael? Im guessing hes the coordinator? Is he your brother, Dad other family member or just some dude off the street? If you answer that question I'll subscribe! I don't farm, I did help my grandfather years ago do some tobacco farming but very small farm. I do play Farm Sim 22 tho and its amazing how good they have simulated some of this equipment and task.
Not in the field cause havent got a drop of rain our planting season starts dec . This is a second year without rain so might sell all my cattle ,seriously looking at your H2A program, from namibie africa
Neighbor was disc chiseling on February 27th here in west central Wisconsin. Ten years ago his dad worked it on January 3rd with 5” of snow on the ground.
I think you all would be better off with a Soil Finisher myself (based on my experience), especially with all of the Corn Stalk, Soybean, Oat & Clover residue.
Just hope you wont get a frost in april 😂 Whats the usual time to start for you guys? Im northern europe, earliest for me is late april so.. 😂 Was expecting a meal kit ad there for a second..
