Yeah, and what’s wrong with that? Would you rather them be like Sony where they released a camera less than a year after FX9 that did more for half the price. And by doing that they cannibalized on the FX9. Canon is clearly looking after the C400 users, and I appreciate that.
It’s not an update for the c70, it’s a B cam for the C400. They’re still making and selling the C70 which is a b cam for the C300iii. Also with the dgo tech is very difficult to manage the rolling shutter, which is why the C70 is so soft, trying to increase the sensor size would double the rolling shutter from jump.
The c70 isn’t “soft” because of rolling shutter. That doesn’t even make sense. It’s because the sensor is natively 4k where most other cameras now are using higher resolution sensors and down sampling to 4k.
@@cinnabun1046I said it wrong, but same idea. It could have been a higher resolution sensor but because of managing the dgo tech vs rolling shutter kept the max resolution at 4k, it’s also the reason it’s s35, easier to manage the three way compromise of dgo, rolling shutter, and resolution on an s35 sensor.

That's why I kept thinking the ZVE1 is conceptually way more advanced than the competition. Even BMP and M43 aren't doing it these days. Things are getting bigger, heavier, but not better. Look around at those big Canon, Nikon, and Panasonic cameras. You end up loading the heaviest files to your storage with no benefits in any way: dynamic range, rolling shutter, noisier image, heavier, more expensive. What are we getting these days when upgrading? Whereas the ZVE1 really considered what's good in the A7S3 and integrated some new user-friendly designs, making it easier for people to get into the system. I don't want to be a fanboy, but could Canon and Nikon please make some sub-500g cameras that shoot good video? With that in mind, any sensor size, shape of form is okay.
What's the point of a sub 500g camera body when it's full-frame and therefore needs heavy full-frame lenses? Do people not realise the value in camera balance? If the camera is too light for the lenses it uses it becomes unergonomic and difficult to use for a full shoot day. The C70 and as an extension the C80 is much nicer to use for an entire day because it's much more ergonomic for heavier lenses. The excluding i/o differences from a small camera like the ZV-E1 and the over heating issues...

They fixed the mounting for tripods, they fixed the missing sdi, they made it full frame, they fixed the screen, they made it sharper... its awesome.. but I do miss the DGO sensors (I own two C70s) I love that they updated the cinema autofocus. Nice that the 4K is downsampled..
That 6k is important because it let's you crop it in. Then, you only need to bring your Canon 18mm f/1.2 lens when you're shooting a wedding, and just crop it in for those close-ups.
6k has no crop in raw, but they also support 4.3k raw in super35 raw. Every Canon cinema cam can give you full width raw and highest resolution and then s35 crop raw… For example, R5C can do 8k raw, 5.3k raw, and 3k raw.

I love all my canon Cameras and I'll never sell them but the tiny sony cameras are easier to wiggle around with you everywhere. Like if I go outside of my home for some random meeting I'll have a ZV-E10M2 with me with an 18-105mm F4 PZ lens or the 15mm F1.4 sony lens. But if I go somewhere in a vacation, somewhere where it's really nice and I know I'm going to want to take pictures and record video, i'm going to always haul the Canon R5 + the R8 with me. For stuff where image quality and color is not the pinnacle of taking that footage I go sony, for stuff that I really really care how it looks I'll always chose Canon. Even an M6 Mark II with a Sigma 24-104F4 is better (subjectively) in terms of images compared to my A7CII or A7CR. Like I still can't believe how almost all sony G lenses have purple fringing on both A7CR and A7CII and I can't even find a pinch of purple in the R7, R8 or R5. Even with shitty plastic (non L) lenses.
@@simpletraveltech 35 1.8 rf, friging and focus that feels like 2000, because they added macro and the optics are not what you call canon .sure it supposed to be a non professional but the ones that are for pros cost more than a liver...
@@sardanapalos Good to know and thank you for sharing that. I don't have the 35mm RF variant now. I have the 16mm f2.8, 28mm f2.8 pancake and the 50mm f1.8, the 24-240mm RF, the 100-400mm RF. The 100-400 being the worst in image quality amongst these I still dont mind because of the reduced price of it and it's fairly usable. But the small lenses are a dream to use, they are light and they work everywhere. The 28mm f2.8 in particular surprised me and also the 24-240mm which I was expecting to be the absolute worst due to the huge distorsion at the wide end, still the lens is one of my favourite one to carry around with the R8 because it can do everything. Anyway while the sony lenses lineup is huge and the third party scene is very compelling I feel that going to the Canon RF route still proposes lower chances of getting a disapointing lens compared to Sony.

The canon R5 (even mark I) does not match your SONY ZV-E1 because the ZV-E1 cannot take pictures the way the R5 can. The R5 is trully a hybrid camera and it can only be compared maybe with the SONY A7R5 or something better as those are high megapixel cameras that can shoot at very fast shutter speeds while still being capable of proper video modes and formats.
Even with shitty plastic (non L) lenses.
then use the rf line up of 1.8 ....really bad lenses, lets hope youtubers don't see this :D
@@sardanapalos Can you please give me some examples of really bad RF lenses ? I don't quite get what you say there.
Who are you? Batman?
HD 390P ;)) that was funny.
Can you explain the joke? Is it that the number is awfully low?
That wasn't me messaging you, don't message him lol.
@@cameraconspiracies Everything is a conspiracy =)). Yea man it looked shady. Cheers
I have questions: Why does your hair alternate from long to short in every video? Why are you filming in the dark? What's the banging sound? Are you building a studio like Gerald Undone?
😅
The R6 MK II does this just fine. And it only has SD CARDS.
Satan is knocking from the underworld during the video.
