Drive-Thru Danger Shortcuts are a tricky one. There are so many shortcuts in this CTR Track, I don't know where to start. Many of these Shortcuts in Drive-Thru Danger track is hard and require you to have a basic understanding of basic mechanics such as U-Turning and Drift Boosting. This is part of the "All Shortcuts in CTR" Guide as well. Drive-Thru Danger is released in the final Grand Prix of Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, the Gasmoxia Grand Prix.

These shortcuts are insane! I'm imagining some players getting blue fire, panicking at the high speed, mashing the jump button like their lives depended on it, and pulling off these shortcuts completely by accident. XD
That's how I learned them. lol
While the track looks really weird, it's actually not as bad as it seems.
At least once you know the main shortcut paths and do a few u-turns.

That blue lazer shortcut was not easy to pull off, but in the end it was the deciding factor that made me top the developer's time. Thanks man, great stuff

I wonder who will act as the ghost for the dev times?
First we got a timelord, then we got an elderly fast alien, then we got a an even faster royal alien.
Will it be King Chicken? Whose eyes are always watching you? (There is a chicken in EVERY track!)
Will it be that dodgy penguin? Whose moral ambiguity has some of us concerned? (I don't trust him.)
Or will each track be mastered by their respective representatives? (Gotta defend their territory!)
We'll see next month!

Maybe it will just be the favourite character of whoever happened to get the best time.
You were right partly, William P uses King chicken!
I can't believe I was wrong. The lab assistant made so much sense because he's a nerdy engineer-type just like a game developer would be.
And he was introduced in the same update! And he's like a "blank slate" character which there are countless nameless instances of....
I still think they at one point were planning on using lab assistant for the dev times and then decided not to
The last shortcut you can do with a simple hop or even just fall off the track. No U turn needed.
Most of these depend on your approach.

This is the same thing with the walls on android alley after the train. UNIQUE property
I actually fell off the track once and still beat Velo here.
Drive-Thru Danger has to be one of my favorite tracks. The sheer amount of shortcuts make it so you can come back from even 8th place online
Omg.... The shortcuts are FREAKIN N. SANE!!!! The blowing-mind shortcut will be very hard to do
I keep myself straight through it, but do a really good u-turn after it.

Nice video, did not know about the unique property!! Saw Jordy do it, but didn't realize it. You didn't mention that you can get the shortcut just before that one, easiest by choosing the pizza turbo pads.

I love the first short cut I relieved it last night when I was racing oxide ghost,! And now I have another method with the second jump ! I still can’t do the leap of faith 😂I managed to get the T in the CTR challenge with a mask and a boost 😂✌️

I knew that the blue u-turn was different. I had the fire going, hit the thing, but never lost it. That explains it then!

I can make u-turn with only left key or right key and square button. Why do you use down key?

the laser shortcut is taken with a ground uturn and no hopping whatsoever by the pros
What engine class did you use? I tried Balanced and Acceleration but they're slow. I tried Drift and I keep going too fast

Actually, the forth shortcut gap can be cleared taking a tighter line, of course while keeping blue fire. Your method is right though, although it's slightly non-optimal.

Can the dev time be beaten with balanced engine? I just cant do the turn at the beginning with neither Speed nor Drift.

Beenox: Yes.
This track is easier the faster you go because it opens up so many opportunities.
Also, that bird buzzer shortcut secret seems kinda unintended. Watch Beenox fix it and add an invi wall there now 🤣
That final shortcut though, I think it's one of the most satisfying shortcuts ever.

@@TheViperian The one where hitting the wall doesn't lose fire. Unintended in the sense that you're SUPPOSED to lose fire if you hit the walls.

Its better to air break off the side of the track on the blue laser ...it's more satisfying
Got my time down to 1:58 without being able to U-turn properly. Might need to actually learn u-turns if Dev times end up being a real step up from Velo.

Honestly, the first hairpin shortcut is annoying, because when I jump, my kart hits an invisible barrier, causing me to jump higher than normal, messing up my follow up jump to the other side of the track.
That one is an easy fix. You "Auto Jumped" Because you might have accidentally not jumped at the hairpin, causing your kart to land on the "bump" and auto jumped. Learned that the hard way too

IN THE AIR IT'S AIR BRAKE BUT IN GROUND IT'S U-TURN
Nah. Its a uturn regardless if its ground or air because the technique is the exact same.
“Airbrake” is actually different. Its when you press Brake plus Direction in the air WITHOUT pressing down on the dpad. That allows your kart to keep its forward momentum and pivot in the air without actually turning. When you release Brakes, your kart will slingshot into the direction its facing. I strongly do not recommend Airbraking at all. Uturn is always the proper way to approach your turns.
