You're not kidding. Was digging in my closet over the weekend and found my Oreos again, been a while. Stupid me, I stored them in an unmarked bag on a top shelf! LOL. Perhaps ( one of ) the best leather ever used on a Jordan! Still in amazing quality...the bottom front gray toe/stars had slight yellowing. EASY getting those back to an original light gray w/ the Salon 40 creme, 20-25 min in the sun. Bit creased, wrinkled with that leather...but no big deal. An amazing sneaker!
Green glows are probably the worst 4 colorway I actually had a pair from back in the day I remodified into a sample custom recently cuz I couldn't stand them anymore lol
I seen that “special surprise” project shoe box all over IG, I won’t say nothing but I’m ready to see what the plan is for them & how they’re presented.
Does anyone know how to fix the netting on them? I accidentally got a pair of black cats in a size 8M instead of 8W so they fit big I’m pretty sure that’s the reason why it broke In the first place, they always crease where my foot ends so I kept on pushing the netting down and it snapped, I’ve been trying to find any videos on it or sm but no one seems to have the same problem.
@@patrickwillis13 that’s the point lol I and other wanna see it. I know the main thing is the cracking of the tpu on most silhouettes. If there was more time spent trying to fix these silhouettes rather than the same 1-14 you’d probably have a solution to it by now. I personally learned if you leave brittle in cracked TPU in brake fluid it restores it back to its normal flexibility and thus preventing cracking. There’s other silhouettes like the 23 that is fully able to be restored come on now
The 17s and 23s are hard most of the rest ugly as shit... I would watch a restoration video on them tho just because like you said nobody really makes videos on them
@@wishfullythinking8938 there isn't a fix unless nike starts selling replacement parts. Sure to the brake fluid is a decent solution but only as a preventative measure. For shoes like 17 and 18 there's no fix not because no one works with them but because unless someone finds a way to make replacement parts there won't be a solution. 16s suffer from the same sole rot as 3s. No ua 16s exist so unless you want to part a aj1 sole on there are no donors for them. So for post 14 the only ones I see with any solution worth doing is 15 19 20 and maybe 21.

what type of gloves do you use when working with acetone? I'm asking because acetone seems to eat through all the rubber gloves I've tried which ends up defeating the purpose of wearing the gloves to protect my hands from the acetone.
I also like to apply a thin coat of super glue over the stitching to fix it's originally. Super glue gonna soak in to the stitch, but it's works only with the leather models.

Restore some retros past 14+ let’s see some new stuff.. I know we are a minority but there’s people out there that like 14+
+14 is almost impossible to repair. Maybe something light like the 19s but stuff like the 16-18 20-23 are gonna but a hassle to get them wearable

Can you Dm us some images of the shoe? Those typically need the washing machine quite a few times to remove stains from that tricky material

There’s thicker gauge rubber gloves that don’t get eaten up by acetone. Search mechanic rubber gloves or heavy duty

Gotta pair of Jordan 1 metallic gold and the patent leather paint came off is that something that is fixable for u??
It can be repainted, but it could mess with the finish. Patent leather is one of the hardest materials to restore.
