I am from Utsang but two candidates for the Sikyong are non Utsang, it gives me freedom from accusation of playing dirty sectarian politics for personal and sectarian gains. The same can not be claimed by people holding high office trying to influence the outcome by playing Tibetan people as mentally challenged fools to be taken advantaged of. It seems very much like a calculated betrayal of the trust by Dicki Chhoyang La, and the worst political mistake by Lobsang Sangay La for appointing such a person as a Kalon. Agree with Dicki Chhoyang la that choosing someone based on looks with smiling face is "pathetic" (her press release): was not she commenting on Lobsang Sangay la appointing her as a Kalon? There is a serious allegation against Penpa Tsering La for taking undue advantage of a married lama’s family needing help from Penpa Tsering for managing a restaurant. However, the family ended badly: it is alleged Penpa Tsering La used/stole the Lama’s wife, thereby depressed diabetic unhealthy lama’s untimely death due to worrying too much about messed up situation of unfaithful wife's affairs with Penpa Tsering la in managing the restaurant and family life. Who economically benefited the most after the lama passed away? Wish to hear a loud and clear explanation from Penpa Tsering La; not forthcoming so far! Penpa Tsering la is lacking in five Buddhist ethical and moral principles! The five PRECEPTS are: commitments to abstain from harming living beings, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying and intoxication. The last precept is in a special category as it does not infer any intrinsic evil in, say, alcohol itself but indulgence in such a substance could be the cause of breaking the other four precepts. The ISIS monsters are intoxicated with too much anger and ignorance but afraid of ALCOHOL because it is forbidden in their holy book but for us devoted Buddhists, we are guided not to love ALCOHOL in our holy books. It saddens me personally that our H.H. The Dalai Lama does not deserved to be politically presided over by Alcohol lover: many Tibetans gave up their lives, but Penpa Tsering la will not give up ALCOHOL as he had stated clearly in public whenever asked for clarification. Besides, Penpa Tsering la is hand in glove with the Utsang Association regarding regionalism dirty politics in high office: of playing Utsang people, including me, as mentally challenged suckers to their selfish political ends.
