The French clearly outmaneuvered the coalition. Initially they went on frontally against a number of well placed heavy grand batteries and they suffered quite heavy losses. However they were flexible enough to retreat and move around pretty fast. The tremendous charge of Murat combined with infantry support, took advantage of an out of balance and by that time redeploying coalition army and it was enough to give the French an edge over their opponents. There was a little bit of exploit when that French cav run through a few coalition units in order to kill their last battery, but at that time the battle had been decided. Kingston I give you credit for the strategic presentation of the battle without overdoing it with close-ups. It 's a great video. PS . though not referring to the Napoleonic period I m currently reading the first tome of "The Civil War Trilogy : The Civil War: A Narrative " by Shelby Foote . I am using a huge Atlas as well. I suggest this monumental series to every American and not only (I 'm a Greek but I am also fully aware how much the US civil war has affected the world history). Thanks again for the video and keep up with the great work.
Let us all appreciate Kingston's efforts around the clock for his fans.
appreciate it mate
Nice that now we have info of teams at the start of the video. Gives context and makes it more immersive.
Started with a little maneuver, a little hanky-panky, then France kicked the front door right in and never stopped. Fantastic!
It seems that the player who plays for Russia gives in, he does not protect the artillery at all, although the French cavalry was clearly visible.
