Thanks for this vid Bludborn. I ran around for quite a while but could not find the guild hall at the given location. Being Lvl 136 did not make it any easier to look either, but it was fun regardless. Will just have to wait and catch up some more lvls. Still appreciated the video greatly.
It is so obnoxious that, when they figured out that they could not pull off their stated plan of the new crafting guild system being tied to/dependent on the old guild rep grind, they did not implement any form of catch-up mechanic. It would have been so simple, when they realized they were stuck, to do something like a recipe in the base Umabri crafting tier for each profession that is BoP (so no cheesing alts), basic mats to make, no cooldown, and grants a metric ton of guild rep. Add the requirements that it's not usable with the tag "Umbari Crafting Guild member", whatever the internal flag is for being a member of the guild at that rank so it immediately cuts off usage there, and a minimum level of say, 143? 145? So that it's only usable when you would actually be able to get to Umbar anyhow and can't use it to blast through crafting guild ranks while leveling alts. Simple, flags to only allow use in a targeted band, allows catch-up to achieve the scenario they originally said the new crafting guild system would be operating under.
@bludborn Since the location of the new guild is probably the most important piece of this video, one glace at the overhead map would have been really fantastic and helpful. From the video the coordinates Bludborn gave are loc 21.3s 97.3w
Thanks Blud, good guide, it took me a while to get around to it, but I just got ran all my guilded crafters through this, and your guide was very handy :)
Glad it helped! There has been a lot of feedback around the lower level toons that I have seen. I wouldn't be surprised either way, if they add something or not to address that.
Thanks great walkthrough. Looks like a nice long rep grind ahead (did not see much reason to raise the guild rep prior and stopped). Glad they are trying something new with the crafting, long overdue.
Just checked last night - you can get the 10k NEW rep by doing 1 x ithil guild craft quest for 50k rep - super quick. Still have to do previous tiers the normal way. Missions craft rewards get you guild rep too if starting from scratch and use rep accelerators!
I really wish that SSG had added some travel point at the Guild hall. Milestone or stable master. Riding there for the daily quest on my crafters will probably steal 5 hours per week for me. Apart from that I like it.
@@Bludborn guess they could add the pocket items like the earlier tiers had or maybe better pots... Something similar to store bought regen mabye? Frustrated but can't change it so guess I need to get all my crafting alts above 125 for the summons to umbar

Make sure to like the video, and drop a comment to let me know what you think about the updates to the Crafting guilds in LOTRO!!

No problem 👍 glad I could help!

Catch up mechanics are great, especially this far into to the game. Lot of work on alts and new toons.

Thanks for the feedback! Noted for next time!
I was just going to say that same thing. I was trying to find it.

Great to hear from you! Hope you’re well!
I appreciate your work! This helped make things a little clearer for me. Now SSG just has to make it easier for low-level crafters to get there...

Thank you for the guide on Umbar crafting.
Sure thing! I hope it was helpful!

Thanks Dean! Appreciate the comment and insight.
Great video, and very well narrated
Thank you!

Good call out with the missions!
Thx kinnie, just what I needed.
Perfect!
Nicely put together guide, thanks.
Thx Blud
I like that crafting can be useful
No problem 👍

Make sure to provide that feedback on the forums. The more they hear stuff, the increased likelihood of it happening.
Are the guild recipes bound on acquiring where you can't send to alts?😊
Good question. I didn’t look at all of the bindings so I’m not sure.
Will low level crafters, who have their guild rep up but who are much too low level to go to Umbar, still be able to access the Umbar guild?
You’ll be able to access it, but you will still need to get out there get recipes and turn in.
What two items to craft?? I only have one with the recipe given. That seems unfair.
Which craft? I'm curious now.
@@Bludborn scholar
what about free2play ppl. can they use the guild?
They can, but it needs to be unlocked. Not sure on the price in the store.
sad theres nothing really for scholars
I hadn’t looked. What do you think would work for them?
@@Bludborn guess they could add the pocket items like the earlier tiers had or maybe better pots... Something similar to store bought regen mabye? Frustrated but can't change it so guess I need to get all my crafting alts above 125 for the summons to umbar
Agreed. Back in RoI Scholars could make endgame pocket items. My Scholar is just questing for my Tailor at this point. heh
The scholar pots are indeed useless. Should have just been a +100k morale pot or a heal over time pot
@@Swan584you know… a HOT pot would actually kinda be sick.

That’s probably a bit by design, keeping people logged in.
Annoyance is not good game design@@Bludborn
annoyance is also subjective.
