Grateful to have just seen this film and learned of Te Ata. It shows us how Te Ata's talent, grace, bravery and persistence swayed hearts and minds. It inspired me to learn more about her. My mom, who knew of Te Ata, put it on for us to watch as part of our family action to transform Thanksgiving into a celebration of Indigenous People and the First Nations of this continent. May all Americans come to treat the remaining Indigenous Peoples as National Treasures, with respect and appreciation. May Indigenous ways and wisdom survive and thrive for the sake and enrichment of everyone.
