Larry Turner's Message to Mayor Gloria about

A message for Mayor Gloria:
The best you can do as Mayor of San Diego for the LGBTQ+ community is simply post a #Pride digital graphic on social media? When you campaigned 3 years ago, you sold the community the idea that you represented them. Well guess what: the community you claim to fight for has told me explicitly that you DO NOT listen to them. You campaigned and as soon as you won, you disappeared. I will be the Mayor for EVERYONE starting November 5th, 2024. I listen and I work FOR the people, not against them. I don’t weaponize identity to try and “win” votes and then disappear. The Mayor’s office is a servant leadership position, not a stepping stone to higher office in Sacramento or D.C.
The voters have seen, smelled, and stepped in your failure for 4 years. They know who you are and the only two tricks you have are to go straight to your politician handbook and lie about my character and lie about your record of disaster. The people are tired of a binary choice between two failed parties and want change: and here it comes!
The city desperately needs a paradigm shift, Todd. It appears from your performance you think that simply means moving two dimes from one pocket to the other (similar to you plan to give taxpayer dollars to the accounts of your donors).
Mayor Gloria: don’t be afraid of San Diegans. You don’t need black tinted environment-destroying Suburbans with bodyguards in what you brag is a safe city. You don’t need a SWAT team secretly hiding outside your speech in case the crowd is unruly. You’ll find so much freedom in enjoying the beauty of SD’s communities by interacting with our SD family, not observing from your office window or through your limousine tint.
