So between all of that and then nixing the entire promo, I can easily see why HBK would just be fed up and decide to just amuse himself.
So badly wanted Sting vs Taker, since Sting had to lose at Mania 31 then it would have been perfect to lose to the deadman in a dream match instead of all the chaotic nonesense losing to Triple H.

There were often DDQs, count-outs etc. on 80s PPVs (tho mostly in the mid-card); but no 2000's wrestling fan wants a massive dream matching ending in a shitty finish.... They'd crap all over it.
