Nice one Dan. Food looked better than anything I've ever cooked in that spot before. Probably a deer that passed by in the night. Always lots of rustlings in that wood at night.
A Deer? Sounded like an abomination! I think that is the best camp food I've ever eaten if I'm honest! Perfect spot! Thanks for watching and for sharing 😊
@@1982Noddin I think when you are inside a tent in the woods things outside sound amplified. If it wasn't a deer, well...... You've got me worrying now...
just found your video after watching the outdoor boys. the food looked awesome! this is first class camping. some music in your video would be very nice though.
@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling it was a great place to set up and maybe the best food I've ever cooked on a camp! Have you ventured into the Lincolnshire Wolds at all mate? Thanks for watching bud 👍
@Takingawalkwithmybestfriend my first camp in the Lincolnshire Wolds, hoping it won't be my last! I can't believe, for packet stuff, how good the Idahoan mash is! Thanks for watching mate 👍
Great video Dan, maybe try a tarp and bivi camp next time in a A Frame set up so you feel more at ease in the woods, not so enclosed. Food looked fantastic mate🤙🏻👊🏼
@Peteablokeoutdoors Tarp and Bivvy could be an idea for sure, I like that! I'm not too practiced with Tarps though, any tips? The food sure was good, thanks for watching bud 👍
@@1982Noddin I use DD Hammocks 3x3 metre tarp. My most used set ups are Plow point, A frame, lean too, all depending on the weather and location. For bugs I use the DD single mesh tent with the tarp over it if rain is forecast, otherwise I don’t bother and just enjoy being in nature. 🤙🏻
@Peteablokeoutdoors I'll take a look at the recommendations though I do think the majority of my camping will still be in the hills! I've got a few Bivvys that I've used on occasion so it may be time to take the jump into using them more often! DD Tarp you say? hmm, I'll look, thankyou!
@BareBonesCamping it's a very versatile tent that excells in almost any environment you put it in! It was a great if not different camp this one! Thanks for watching bud 👍
@@DazzOutdoors-UK1 that could well be what it was, not just snapping all the branches on the floor but a very odd noise too! I never use ear plugs, any good? Thanks for watching pal 👍
@@1982Noddin personal preference ear plugs but if I’m honest if I didn’t use them I would be up & down all night 👀 & wouldn’t sleep 😴 so after a few beers I’m a bit more relaxed then the ear plugs go in & that does the trick 😎
Enjoyed that Dan, I am so much more into woodland camping now, I love it and I find the noises fascinating. I know whatever it is thats making noise isn't dangerous so I just embrace it. Strangely I dont have any problems with keeping the door open, do you fold it in onitself before fastening? I do that and dont have any problems unless its really windy. P.S. Bioethanol is cheaper in B&Q than in Go Outdoors.
Maybe I just need more woodland camps under my belt! I usually go to B&Q but we've got a Go Outdoors in Stocksbridge and it was a time saving exercise! I couldn't believe how it'd gone up though! The doors on the Anaris, well there's lots of niggles I have with them, mainly the way they fold back, I find it so fiddly compared to every other tent I have. They sag so easily. The peg keeps them out of the way so much better, really helps alot

@@rianrafi2944 can you suggest a good place for music to add to YT videos?

First video of yours I've watched, enjoyed it mate. Always enjoy seeing some proper cooking rather than rehydrated ten quid pot noodles!
Thanks for stopping by and watching, really appreciated. The dry meals have a place but on a nice steady camp like this why not cook properly 🙂
Monkjac deer barking is quite disturbing if ur not used to it in the woods that’s why I use ear plugs 😎👍 nice camp & a lovely dinner

What a coincidence, the scout camp is only about 200 yds from my house 😊
@wildwaysbushcraftsurvivals5416 it was bloody noisy! Was good to hear them having fun though! Done much camping out that way?
@1982Noddin I have not been living here long, I camped I Market raesen last week on a site in my micro camper.

@1982Noddin it really is and I know your not keen on woodland camping , there are lots of them around here .

dont forget ya ir binoculars for the stars and nite prowlers,
@gobstoppa1633 sadly I did 😕
