Hiya mate, reckon I could camp up here? Been camping many times and always stick to the rules. Cheers
Great views subbed 😂😊
Happy New year to you and your family Dan. Lovely walk, thanks for taking us along with you. Have a good week. x
Am lookin at doin this challenge this year but find planning quite hard and am hoping to do it all within the year any advice? Or better a list😂
If you believe in Jesus, you and your family will be saved. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video.15
I'm not 100% sure just believing is enough to save anyone, however, I do thankyou for the kind sentiment and for watching 🙂
13^~ I enjoy the video you re the best l want to have a good relationship so lm going there 🎁
Thankyou, very kind words
Nah then, ey up me duck. A nice relaxing and peaceful walk hey fella, just what the doctor ordered 👍 May you and yours have a happy new year my friend. Yours: Paul 🙂
Happy New Year pal, I hope all is going good. Thanks for stopping by and watching mate 🙂
@1982Noddin I always watch your vids me owd 🤜🤛
I bet you are rushed off your feet on the run up to Christmas. It's great to get back out again. I looked up that Cairn on Google and couldn't find it. It's great that Oliver discovered something that Dad could go and see. He's definitely got the hiking bug. Thanks for sharing, Dan, and Happy New Year.
In the 3 weeks before Christmas I did a 70, 70 and a 90 hour week, pretty intense! When Oliver showed me the pictures of the Cairn, I wasn't 100% convinced he was even in the right spot but it turned out he was bang accurate, great achievement for the lad, well pleased. Hope you're well Chris, thanks for stopping by 🙂
Nice one Dan....i have been up there several times over the years...i remember being surprised/ Gobsmacked when i first saw that cairn...
It's a beauty isn't it! Back in the UA-cam vibe now, got a hell of a lot of video's to catch up on, namely yours!
Nice video. Wishing you a wonderful evening 😊
Thank you! You too! Happy New Year! 🙂
Beautiful place! Great video! Thank you for sharing♥👍6
Thank you for stopping by, all the best 🙂
Enjoyed this one Dan...hope you can chill a bit now the Christmas Rush is over...Not my prob anymore thank goodness cos I retired in December...Official OAP now😂...Those molehills are what I enjoy rooting through while I'm out cos I am a fanatical ex archaeologist and it really is amazing what can be found in them and can show evidence of past settlements etc...I really annoy my Mrs when out walking cos sometimes I spend more time rooting through them than getting to where we are supposed to be going...Nice circular Dan...not a place I have visited but maybe go one day...I thought we were going to see your new car or was that plane your new vehicle🤣...All the very Best to you and yours Dan for 2025...Cheers Les.🙂👍
I cannot imagine being retired, ohh, the luxury! I'm not really into that stuff but I never knew Molehills were a good spot to check for old stuff, might have to start rifling through them now! I forgot to film the new vehicle, I bought it as a donor car for my other Santa Fe but it ended up being a better vehicle so I kept it! 🙂
@@1982Noddin Brill😂...I would avoid those molehills Dan...they take over and a good walk ends up being a short stroll🤣
Love Wharncliffe - done loads of trips MTB'ing in the past but not been for years but it's a magical place.
@sparker68 I'm lucky it's so local to me, spent alot of my youth up there. Lots of lads I know go biking up there too. Thanks for watching bud 👍
Some nice views up there, Dan.
@QuakerJones268 yeah, it's nice mate, see the top of it from my house
Nice video.Popped up in my feed today - no pun intended ! Even as a vegetarian, that looked damn good. Dead right about Trangia gear, bulletproof and bugger all to go wrong. Started my collection just before Covid lockdown but being an expat Brit living in Malaysia this last 20 years,, it's nigh on impossible to source locally, so I order directly from their webshop. Awesome service from Trangia and always arrives within 4-7 days which is bloody good for half way round the world! It's addictive gear though cos I now have the range from the Micro through to my beloved 25, with numerous accessories to boot.. A set for every occasion😀 Have subbed to your channsel and look forward to following your adventures. ATVB from a sunny and bloody wet Malaysia 🇲🇾 - rainy season from Oct to Feb🌧
The Trangia brand certainly stretches the entire globe, you're proof for that. Such great gear isn't it! I know exactly what you mean about gear addiction, all too much 🙂 Thanks for dropping by and subbing, I hope the rain is not too mental for you!
Love spam and eggs.☺tfs!
Yummmm. I love my Trangia 27, I also have the mini (28) for hikes and the unexpected meal or coffee. Thanks for making me hungry! Lol.
I really need to cook more on the Trangia. I'll have to look into the mini. Tahnks for stopping by 🙂
nice Video🎉
Thankyou 🙂
Lovely 👍
Thanks 😊
Cracking review this mate really helpful 👍
Thankyou mate, really appreciate the feedback 👍
So nice upload, awesome presentation, thanks for sharing dear. All the best to you. Have a wonderful day and see you next time again. Many Greetings from Germany. ♥ Like 11
Thank you so much 👍
Another fantastic vid Dan...your vids are becoming addictive and I think its because you are so natural and so enjoying what you do...sounds really gay that but not meant how it sounds🤣...Great vid as always...Cheers Les.🙂👍(who is not gay😂)
Cheers pal, a very amusing response. Love Dan, who is also not gay 👍
@1982Noddin 🤣
wow wish i had that enthusiasm when i was ya boys age.. picking up a mega drive joypad was about all i could muster, great example ya setting to parents.. thanks for letting us join you, tek care lad, all the best :)
Cheers dude, the boy is really something, an absolute unit for his age 👍
Nice video Dan 😊
Thanks for coming along and watching mate 👍
Nice one Dan. The woodland looked absolutely beautiful. Splendid waterfalls as well. The kids were loving it by the look of things.
Yes, we had a great time up and around the first part. The 2nd part was no where near as enjoyable, but needed doing non the less 👍 Hope you're well pal
Nice vid Dan...Everyone looked happy and all done for a good cause...Well done...Cheers Les.🙂👍
Thanks 👍
A nice walk, a trig, and a future wildcamp spot sorted. Minter. Thanks for sharing Dan.
Glad you enjoyed it, it was quite a nice walk, for a busy organised type job anyway 👍
Nice video Dan. Have a great upcoming week! Take care 😊
@@NorwayHikesTrails thankyou pal, hope you're well 👍
What a great camp Dan and Sam and I’m sure Sam’s now a keen wild camper. Shame about the bloody pole breaking Dan. Looked a great sunrise with that purple tinge to the sky. ATB 🍻
Man that sky, wow. The whole package was phenomenal. Very kind of you to suggest that spot, its probably one of my favourite camps iv'e done over the last few years, it really was great. Sam and I have already potentially discussed another outing 👍🙂
@@1982Noddin that’s great Dan👍
Nah then, Ey up me duck. Can't beat a good wild camp with a mate. Ay a good'un me owd 👍🙂
This was special, no doubt 👍🙂
That looked good! I have made a few different versions of the MMB, tater tots are good for the potato layer as are dehydrated hash browns (Ore-Ida make them. They come in a waxed carton like milk, and are very good). Frozen waffles are good, torn into bits and fried in butter before the veggies and other stuff goes in. I like to brown the meat in a flying pan first, and make milk gravy in the pan with the meat fond (making gravy also makes the frying pan easy to clean because whatever stuck to the pan is now in the gravy). The gravy goes over the top when the eggs are set, then cheese is grated over that. You sure burn up those calories on a cold day!
Really interesting variations on this recipe mate. I do often make a gravy after ive cooked in the Trangia to help deglaze the pan but depending on what i'm doing, I dont bother. Thanks for the ideas, hope you enjoyed watching 👍🙂
To be honest Dan I bloody hate camping ever since me and the Mrs got flooded out over twenty years ago at Dinarth Hall in North Wales but loved this...What has upset me is that you broke your walking pole...I cannot tell you how much my walking poles mean to me today...after years working as a dry stone waller and path layer in the Peak District the job has done me no favours and I was diagnosed with spinal Arthritis a month or so ago..Not wanting to ever give up walking, walking poles have been like a new lease of life to me and I really cannot walk without them so I am going to say a little prayer for you broken pole🤣 if you get my drift...sounds disgusting that reading it back...Nice vid Dan...Cheers Les.
I hope you're getting through the arthiritis mate, my brother was a sufferer and I saw first hand how it affected him so I can partially sympathise. Its just another bit of gear, luckily didn't affect me in the night and can be replaced. Thanks for watching bud, hope you're well 👍🙂
@@1982Noddin Thanks Dan...only got 4 weeks till I officially retire and going to keep going cos the poles are a godsend now so no stopping me getting out again in the country... but no bloody camping though that is a cert👍
Nice sharing Dan. Wishing you a great evening 😊
It was such a great evening and camp, really enjoyed it 👍🙂
Amazing ❤ super 😍😍😍❤
I'm glad you like it 👍🙂
What a sunset!
One of the best I've seen. Once it opened out it was such a stunning walk
Thanks for the video brother
No problem 👍
Nice one Dan. Looks like it was perfect weather for Sam's first wildcamp.
It absolutely was, stunning weather and place to pitch 👍🙂
Nice hike Dan. Wishing you a fantastic evening 😊
It was phenomenal, thanks for watching 👍🙂
Two ways to improve your taste experience further, cook the mushrooms with the bacon to absorb the flavour, and while your eating put the frying pan back on the heat with a little water to make cleaning easier. Good video .I used my trangia 25 for the very first time this year I think they are brilliant
@erniethecat198 good advice. I was right next to my van so didn't bother cleaning it but I usually do the water trick. Top gear though aren't they!
Good job! I climbed up criffel in Scotland
@SH33P_YT nice one mate 👍
Class mate. I remember seeing the guy you’re talking about on the BBC, think they gave him an award and there was a flypast if I remember rightly. Look forward to seeing the rest of these 👍
Yeah, there was a fly past to mark the 75th anniversary 👍🙂 Thanks for stopping by 👍
Thanks for the video brother
Any time, thansk for coming along 👍🙂
Nice video Dan. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Ey up me duck. What a great story, very sad but very interesting. Back when men were proper men hey buddy and God bless Tony for honouring them in such a devoted way. 👍
It's such a crazy story , choosing to hit the woods and sacrifice themselves. Proper heroes 👍🙂
Absolutely brilliant. Well done Dan.
Cheers bud 👍🙂
Oh dear hope the milkman is ok 😢 nice park even in the rain, lots of ducks about. Certainly were very brave. Lovely memorial for them.
It's a really nice spot, makes me a little sad when I visit. The milkman was in quite a tangle but assured me he was ok 👍🙂
Fantastic video 📸📸📸😊🎉❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it, thankyou 👍🙂
Well done, great tribute to those brave men,
