You can easily at least understand arts subjects like history and polity but they are far easier than the mind-boggling maths and physics conundrums that are slammed in the Advanced paper. You can never compare arts and science, it's like comparing a sand hillock with mount Everest. And what about age? A first timer UPSC examinee is at least 21 years old while the JEE Advanced guy is only 17. You think the maturity of a 17 yr old kid is same as that of a 21 yr old grown person? Of course JEE Advanced is tougher, it stands out!
And as for the actual "GK" part, the world's toughest exam is the Chinese Gaokao exam, followed by JEE Advanced, then UPSC. You yourself don't know the facts and are asking me to "check" my gk.

Why I feel that most of the toppers have strong family background like his father was already in civil services. And like him there are so many toppers who have background like this. People like us who don't know how to prepare and don't have any guidence or any strong financial support are struggling..
