What a great story! There was no coincidence it was a synchronicity! Very happy for the vet and her daughter. Now you can drive six more hours to go get another one!!!!
I will take one of your fosters. I live in Newfoundland Canada. We love dogs. I am on 4 acres on the water with only 30 souls in this harbour. Our beauty Jake died yrs ago and we are now ready to adopt again. Let me know.
Yep, Lee is someone you never forget. Generosity, hope, kindness and willing to take a risk, take a chance, put himself out for the dogs and for people.
how the new puppy just knows not to run away while off leash running around in the desert... that bond is unbreakable.. truly these dogs are so lucky to have you
I have 1 Rhodesian Ridgeback and she'd bolt if I took her off leash. At least I think she would. I've had her for 5 years. She was a rescue. She's 7 now. Would never take the chance to just let her go. I think the pack here keeps every dog in check.
I had a beautiful Maltese Shih-tzu from 8 weeks of age. She slept beside me and did everything with me , but as soon as I opened the door she bolted down the street. I tried everything to teach her to stay, the little terror. Sadly she passed from a mast cell tumour aged 5. My boy now whom is a rescue never leaves my side.
She’s adorable! 👍🐶😊👏 She has the cutest face. It was meant to be…Koda is going to get the best loving forever home with her veterinarian Mom. Thanks for sharing that story with us. 👍🇨🇦😊👏
I'm a foster in Portland, yes, it can be an emotional heartbreak when they get adopted, but we know their lives are going to be amazing! So yes, it's worth it and they bring so much joy to our lives. I love that you get to travel around and save these babies, right now I have Cooper, he's from Texas, a Beagle mix, so lovey, gentle, loves other dogs and can do really cute tricks, but best of all are his hugs.
I too have fostered. THE hardest part is handing them over but when you know they go to a terrific home it’s worth it. I love the saying ‘don’t shop - adopt’.
As a malamute owner (who am I kidding), I can admit, there is a certain pull of a mally. No owner has ever been able to put into words the connection with them. Good job finding her a home with someone that was already experienced with an arctic. They are hard work. I love the work you do, and this story has always hit me in the heart. Great job!
I had a malamute I raised from a puppy. One day I put too much food in his dish and tried to take some out. It could have ended very badly if I hadnt put him on a chain while visiting my mom!
I hope the new family will send you photos and videos of Koda over the years. Will you share them with us? I'd love to keep following her life. Thanks for everything you do, Asher
Ohmygoodness!!! Koda is such a cute ball of fluff! She’s so sweet and took right to the pack… I believe you told us Koda’s story before we got to see her in this video because the vet sounds familiar. I was hoping for a foster fail, if I’m being honest lol, but this was the absolute BEST outcome for both Koda and the family. ❤️
What a beautiful story Koda's rescue is!! Lee, this was totally divine intervention in my humble opinion. You are such a kind hearted, humble, humane individual. I had been following your work for a while now, and loved your passion, your mission, but this made me cry happy tears!!! 💜💜💜
Knowing Koda gets to be loved by a vet is the best possible situation!!! How magical of a synchronicity! Now she gets 100 percent of her parents attention which she deserves. Thank you so much for being such an angel to these sweet babies.
Oh man I was ugly crying, all so sweet….until I heard u say’ “she was kissing you all over…..just kidding.”Then I was laughing hysterically. Me and gogo our shiba inu love watching you and your furrieeesss ❤️
What a sweet, sweet story. You fostering this baby was good enuf. Then to find out you’re able to help this vet and her daughter with a fluffy puppy. That act of kindness should go a long way to take away the sting of death. TY for being you ♥️🐾♥️
I have 4 cats and a dog. They are all pets people were going to take to a shelter and I took them. I commend the work you do. If i had money and the land i would be like you. My husband jokes that we would have a zoo. Keep up the awesome work.

I smiled through my tears watching this. 23 days ago, my beloved girl, named Koda, passed away. She was a husky/black lab mix and the best girl in the world. She came into my life and chose me, when I volunteered at a shelter, in northern Ontario Canada. We were together for 9 wonderful years and had thousands of adventures together. I wish them many years of love, adventures and memories. Thank you for everything you do. You are an amazing human being and the world needs more people like you in it. Much love from Ontario Canada 😘
Love what you do. Your heart must be enormous, and elasticized enough to wrap around your fosters and contract enough to let them go, then fill it up again with another foster. You’re a special person and the world notices. Blessings!
That vision of her walking through the dessert with snow capped mountains in background is surreal. Like a wolf in the wild. Simply gorgeous Love to see Mr Two Toned Tony loving life as well. He truly lived his best life before his passing. RIP
