The club could also narrow up the teeing areas so the players tee up into the trouble. Also, limit the surface area of clubs. Some drivers are just too big and stupid.

James Horan lol and then a decade later Zach Johnson won at st Andrews beating all the young guns which was maybe more shocking than winning this weird cold weather masters
Not to take anything anyway from Zach who was one of the few young players to blossom in that era (unlike DJ Trahan, Hank Kuene, Ryan Moore, Spencer Levin) and for that I will always give him the utmost respect, this Masters was about Tiger both going in and during, and the fact that he didn’t win was as shocking as anything. He had been on fire since the British Open the previous summer, had won over 50% of his starts since then, including both the British and the PGA as part of a streak of 7 wins in a row. It was expected Tiger would win this in honor of his late father, and the tourney was right there for the taking, but he missed some crucial putts and then had that disaster at 15.

2:35:02 Was this classed as an air swing? He addressed the ball, made a swing but didn't hit it? Was there a stroke made? The Birds shadow was nowhere near his ball or sight.
According to the usga, for a stroke to count, the player needs to be intending to hit the ball with their swing. Tiger is clearly trying to avoid the ball mid swing. Similar to what happenned to Zach in the 2019 masters when he hit the ball during a practice swing on the tee box and he was able to re tee with no penalty. Since Tiger was actively trying to not hit the ball here and he was on the tee, I would imagine a re tee would have been allowed had he made contact with the ball on this swing When on the tee box or putting green, if you inadvertantly hit the ball, it can be replaced at no penalty. Anywhere else if you hit the ball inadvertantly the stroke counts and the ball is played as is. I am no expert, just looked it up and this is what the usga posted after zach's situation last year.
First, thank you for posting these! Second, could you please not put pictures of the winner as the thumbnail? It ruins any suspense for those of us who didn't know (or forgot) who won. Thank you!
I’ve watched numerous masters videos from former years. I can’t believe these people in the crowd of this generation hollering crazy improper things so often. It’s a sad reflection of the disrespect of our youth these days. I wish the officials would silence these people or remove them from the venue. 😮😮
As much as Zach deserved the win, it really was the story of Tiger losing it. When he was in the lead going into the final round, it was almost a sure thing he was going to win before this.
I find it a little strange how you find it a little strange that Zach Johnson was celebrating because he forced 2 guys to go birdie birdie just to tie. Do you know the odds of them doing that?
And the 2007 Master's winner is Zach Johnson that is why they are showing Tiger Woods on camera taking his 2nd place "victory" walk instead of Zach's reaction once he knew he won. A perfect example of why I became a Tiger hater.
Jim nantz said Ian Baker Finch once lead the masters on a Sunday. 1:45:29 that's is not true. He never lead The masters on Sunday ever. Closest he came was two shots behind Craig parry After the FIRST hole Finch made birdie on Sunday In 1992.
Ian Baker Finch said Rory sabbatini had the only eagle At 11 in Masters history. I guess he forget kjchoi had a eagle on 11 in the 2004 Masters playing with els in the final round.
Tigers caddie isn't the one swinging the club but Tiger hit awesome shots and at 17 his caddie gave him the wrong distance and club he did it a few times this tournament
This is my favorite Masters because Johnson's game is most relatable to mind since I always favored a strong grip and constantly fight trying to hook it. Not to mention I would probably be laying up on those par 5 s too.
I like Tiger 3.0, but I still have negative feelings about how obsessed the broadcasts were with him…it took away from the other players’ accomplishments.
I agree. Even Nick Faldo mentioned that it was not allowed on the course. They deserved to lose their tickets. The greens are too close to the tee offs and that kind of shouting is disturbing to those putting.
Never seen someone hit so many 3w’s at the Masters like Tiger did on #2, #8, finally hits a driver on #11 and flares it badly to the right if he was hitting his driver half way decent, might of had a chance on 18 tee, but he obviously had very little confidence with the driver. 2nd shot on 15 was the worst shot I have seen Tiger hit when in contention.
Dumbest question ever by Peter Kostis asking Phil Mickelson if his loss at Winged Foot had anything to do with his poor final round. Masters is nothing like a U.S. Open course, and Mickelson was really never in contention in the final round. I think Zach Johnson is the shortest driver of the ball, relative to the field, to have won a Masters. Larry Mize was a relatively short driver of the ball who won the Masters. Mize ranked 128th in driving distance in 1987 the year he won, but Zach Johnson was 169th in driving distance in 2007.

Well deserved for Mr. Zach Johnson! 👍
First, thank you for posting these! Second, could you please not put pictures of the winner as the thumbnail? It ruins any suspense for those of us who didn't know (or forgot) who won. Thank you!
Incredible putt at 53:54. Wow.
...and 1:39:00
Dumb question probably, but why were the scores so high?
Very high winds, especially 2nd and 3rd rounds
K J Choi also made eagle on hole 11 in 2004 masters.
He corrected himself at 1:35:44
Ahh Jim Nantz the ever present golf preacher.
Ya know tiger already has 15 majors, if you think about it he was literally about 10 putts away from having about 20 majors
Nice simple swing motion rehearsal 1:03:16
I’ve watched numerous masters videos from former years. I can’t believe these people in the crowd of this generation hollering crazy improper things so often. It’s a sad reflection of the disrespect of our youth these days. I wish the officials would silence these people or remove them from the venue. 😮😮
Agree totally - this is the "me" generation that started in the '80's that's still going strong in 2024
Davis love did the exact same thing Tiger did and nobody talks about it because he didn't win, you gotta win
A great win by a great guy
Zach won ten more PGA tourneys After winning THIS Masters.
You can win the Masters and not go for a par 5 in two.
listen to sterwart appleby with some colorful words lol 1:27:01
I like Appleby, but that's really disappointing.
1:52:05 “hook ya mole” 😂
Joseph Keene I thought Tiger’s spit was disgusting
This has to be the Major that Tiger feels most slipped from his hands, he should have got it done....
As much as Zach deserved the win, it really was the story of Tiger losing it. When he was in the lead going into the final round, it was almost a sure thing he was going to win before this.
f (x) = 3x + 5. then f(4) = 17. since 4 * 3 + 5 = 12 + 5 = 17.
Justin Rose had the best chance to challenge Zach Johnson near the end but made a double on 17.
Didn't even show the leader layup at 15 because you are too worried about Tiger. Again, disrespectful
What they showed Rory sabbatini
The GOAT himself at the tee still having a metal shaft in his big gun 21:33 47:32
I find it a little strange how Zach was celebrating so much with 2 guys left out there that could go birdie birdie and tie.
I find it a little strange how you find it a little strange that Zach Johnson was celebrating because he forced 2 guys to go birdie birdie just to tie. Do you know the odds of them doing that?
Dustin Petersen Oh I understand it’s rare, but still, it’s a real possibility
He made a nice up and down to save par to maintain a 2 shot lead
And the 2007 Master's winner is Zach Johnson that is why they are showing Tiger Woods on camera taking his 2nd place "victory" walk instead of Zach's reaction once he knew he won. A perfect example of why I became a Tiger hater.
I must say that Pete Kostis lecturing Nick Faldo about the speed of the greens (2.07.42) is bit annoying.
Any lip readers 😂 3:01:29
40:55 PoV you are Billy Goat Gruff #1 confronting the bridge
always struck me as odd how Phil could make a 30' for par and choke on a 4' for birdy.
I miss square grooves
2:13:00
Tigers caddie isn't the one swinging the club but Tiger hit awesome shots and at 17 his caddie gave him the wrong distance and club he did it a few times this tournament
His misjudged the wind. that was operator error from the second cut not caddies fault
@Christina Pankey Steve Williams
Zach Johnson waits for Vaugh Taylor to walk up to 18 green, cla-ssy. What a fantastic guy
This is my favorite Masters because Johnson's game is most relatable to mind since I always favored a strong grip and constantly fight trying to hook it. Not to mention I would probably be laying up on those par 5 s too.
15 and 16 cost tiger the tournament
Stuart Appleby should've won this but for 3 errors in the last 20 holes.
That's golf, what anyone thinks should have happened is irrelevant.
Appleby led the early rounds of several majors during this period. Never quite made it work on the weekend though
I like Tiger 3.0, but I still have negative feelings about how obsessed the broadcasts were with him…it took away from the other players’ accomplishments.
Absurd how year after year Tiger was right there on Sunday, a shame he couldn’t have won a few more.
Appleby's chances disappeared at the 12th. But was never comfortable playing with Tiger.
2:35:00 - Looool never seen this Tiger fail before
Goosen laying up on 13 cost him this Masters.
I'm very sad that there wasn't a Masters this year around Easter, it just didn't feel right.
what a sick putt "D
Sabattini's putt on 8 was probably the greatest I've ever seen
I thought tiger woods won
Faldo saying tiger wouldn't win is classless.
Lol, that jacket was huge on Zach
ZJ class act
I thought the ‘get in the hole’ clowns would have bee thrown out......if only, would be great to see, there is cheering and there is annoying
2nd shot on 15 was the worst shot I have seen Tiger hit when in contention.
tiger woos, tier momd, bi! yen-ju. heller!
53.20 watch your audio volume. Some maniac screaming.
1:27:00 - anyone else hear him? lol
Tiger and Appleby should have been penalized for slow play. Brutal!
Yo
Probably the toughest Masters in the last 15 years
kidpagron primsank Highest winning score since 1956. Not the toughest Sunday at the Masters however
Dumbest question ever by Peter Kostis asking Phil Mickelson if his loss at Winged Foot had anything to do with his poor final round.
I only watched to see Sabbatini punch another volunteer....
When he do that?
I remember his crappy etiquette on Ben Crane at congressional in like 02 or 03
vijay is wearing a beer sponsorship. lol
Doing an interview with Phil over the leader's tee shot at 18. Disrespectful
One of the wackiest masters of all time
