I just bought one never having previously owned a joystick. Naturally, in my ignorance, I assumed I just pick the controller config and everything would start working, however for some reason it setup my logitech gamepad instead of my joystick. I spent half a match trying to set up it up myself only to realize I had no idea what I was doing lol so thank you very much.
Many thanks! It seems like we joystick users are a minority in this game, so it's so helpful when someone that's successful with one drops some serious knowledge on the rest of us.
These settings sound 10000x better than what I used when I first got into SB(I kept stalling because I was new to joysticks, which is why I currently don't fly). Can't wait to try this out later tonight.
@@Evan-fh2zg Hi, I just turned on reply notifications a few days ago, and it's weird to see people replying all this time later. I love you, man. I have fiddling around with this damned joystick/game for months now trying to get the right controls, but you nailed it man! Thanks so freaking much.
I was playing with LE 3D Pro for a long time. Swap to Saitek X-55 Rhino. That was like jumping form Golf GT to Nissan GT-R. I mean it. If you play Sim only you MUST have joystick with hall sensors. I am not talking about more buttons, throttle etc. Hall sensor will give you precision and steadiness you can only dream when playing with 3D Pro. However it is still best entry joystick on the market with great quality/price ratio. P.S. To give you an idea how hall sensor works in practice I'll say that my sensitivity settings in WT are set on 100% for all axis and plane is steady as a rock (even P51D). Good tutorial anyway. Perhaps, could I be so bold as to ask your graphics settings for spotting so well in simulator battles?.... Since, I'm constantly playing "spot the dot" and simply not? P.S. The items I carried over were the roll & yaw sensitivity changes, and also the raising and lowering of the head position (the later I've never looked at as I have Track IR, but it did make a difference, to center the head tracker, then raise the head position in the cockpit.

I just helped my game immensely by tightening the sticks movement by tightening the rubber base up. this sticks movement is way too loose but this helped a lot. couldn't tighten the yaw unfortunately.
For the same reason of having easier reach over all buttons I have put an padding foam at the base of where the wrist rests of about 2cm...check it out this way, it may help.
Hello Black Maze. I just ordered this joystick and cant wait to use it, I am especially going to try your setup except for a few changes. But was that setup specifically for your FW 190 or for anything?

lag is temporal term and while it causes output delay if u have to throw stick 100% for high output, 150 ms tops, it can give u fine sensitivety that makes me competitive with the control of a mouse in some games. dont play warthun yet but people have givin it serious cudos for having a built in curves system. my curves tend to run really low and then pick up logrithmically at 70 -80% throw in Freespace 2 recently. this requires 3 apps while here its built in. my oldest pro is noisy at yaw center but rather than dead zone the noise i just start my yaw curve off @0 and keep it even more shallow near center. i wish there were more videos of players sharing custom binds like this. wow even offset correction of some kind. this aint good maybe for cos tryin to sell ya 450$ hotas. Logitech could easily throw this in there profiler and it would sell sticks.
I have it totally different. And I think mine is better. I Use mouse to: look around(nice smoothe move), showing map, zoom, reseting head movement. Joysticks head is used for head movement, because i do not need only up down, bud expecially left- right, when looking back.
