  • Eric Schlosser is the author of the New York Times bestsellers Fast Food Nation (2001), Reefer Madness (2003), and Command and Control (2013), a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in History. He’s a contributing writer at The Atlantic, where his work has been published for almost thirty years. Schlosser was an executive producer of the feature films Fast Food Nation (2006) and There Will Be Blood (2007). He’s also helped to produce documentaries about the food system, the plight of American ranchers, the abuse of migrant farm workers, and the threat posed by nuclear weapons: Food, Inc. (2008), Hanna Ranch (2014), Food Chains (2014), and Command and Control (2016). He co-created the bomb (2016), a multimedia installation performed at the Tribeca Film Festival, the Berlin Film Festival, and the Nobel Peace Prize ceremonies. Two of his plays have been staged in London: Americans (2003) at the Arcola Theatre and We the People (2007) at Shakespeare’s Globe. His next book is about American prisons.
