I don't think she ever really "lost it". I think the issue with that last tour is the fact 1. She hadn't toured to that extent in YEARS and 2. She had JUST got her voice back to a place where she could actually use it. People need to realize she was mostly relying on muscle memory to achieve the support she no longer had due to the obvious, she needed more time to revamp it. I think Kim Burrell has the singing style that Whitney would've eventually adapted to, especially since she was showing glimpse of that style for a while by that point.
I really hate when people lie and say that Whitney did well in the concert of 2009 and 2010 because she was just trying to get her voice back to where it should be, and she was not ready to go back into concert. During this she had developed COPD or early stages of emphysema and you can hear it when she breathes. I think she should have done appearances and performed like shows award shows but not a concert and definitely not a tour. Her voice was not together and it wasn't pleasing to the ear at all.
