Just learned the story behind the song. Budd's story has always made me feel unexpectedly sad, much like the guy who stole an airplane and crashed it after one daring flight to fulfill a life's dream. These kind of stories always get me, because these were decent folks, just trying to get on in life, but life dealt them a raw hand and put them in a position where they thought they had nothing left to lose. When everything you invested your whole being in crumbles around you, what choice do you have but to build a tank and destroy the town? You do have choices, though. Guys, I know it's hard sometimes, to see your goals, your investments just evaporate, but it is seriously not the end of the world. It is frustrating and depressing and the thought of compromising yourself, or trying something different feels like a dead thing in your mouth when you think of it. But it's your life. You get one chance at it. But that chance doesn't end until you take your last breath. I've watched men drink their lives away, pulling themselves out of the mire in time to enjoy a handful of sober years. Homeless men who get their lives together just to die in a car crash. The point is, your life doesn't have to end just because things aren't going your way. Keep fighting. Keep struggling. Stories like Tedd's can serve as a wakeup call to us all. Don't give up. Don't surrender yourself to your depression and hopelessness. If you ever feel like you're better off not existing, I'm begging you, please find help. It doesn't need to be a big production, with psychiatrists and therapy, but it needs to be more than just you. Call a friend, a pastor, a parent, or a spouse. As hard as it is to tell someone, it is a thousand times harder to carry your burden by yourself. Anyone who loves you will be happy to help you carry it. Don't let yourself become a meme or a hit song for all the wrong reasons. Become something better. Take care of yourself.

Yes , a great song. Budd Dwyer's suicide was so sad. The guy was innocent and got framed big time. He knew that nobody would believe he was innocent and was facing up to 50 years in prison. Poor guy was pushed way too far and was desperate. A while after he died they later admitted that he was innocent. Sad.

Sacrificing himself like that for his family and one day for justice to prevail.. I'm no advocater for suicide the least, but he was brave.
+K1LLful It really is awful. Budd Dwyer's story is a grotesque mix of governmental corruption (both political parties murdered his public image, and the judge was on a witch hunt), media corruption (for wanting to make an example of Budd to dredge up ratings and make political hay), and corporate corruption (the insurance companies making death more profitable than life).

Somehow me thinks at the end of time for each of us comes perilously close a door fraught unexpectedly & unanticipated a threshold appearing & beyond such a fateful portal lies a crossing & those burdened the crimes of the ages cannot withstand nor pass, weighted injustices that cling mercilessly to themselves, the same un-sparingly hold inseparable clamp upon, as were these ruthless in Life are thrust now before pitiless forces & fallen into the void, erased irrevocably what's reprehensible. This is one bad ass song. For the longest time I did not know the band or the lyrics. Thought Nice Shot was Human Nation. Now, of course it all makes sense. Killer tune.

Perfect timing
HAHAHAAA! KILLA TIMEZ!
Sounds like a sick anthem for what's going on in this country right now.
He was offered a deal to do less time but he knew he was innocent refused it
As we all should do. Never take the plea deal. And post bail.
wannabecarguy The system is rigged in favor of plea deals.
2019 still better than 99.9% of all today's music. And more real than 100% of the media
Last good song was that metal grinch cover that went viral last year. Other than that, I've heard nothing good.
I pray for him & his whole entire family!
I dont always listen to Filter.. But when i do. SO DO MY NEIGHBORS!
WORD!
Best comment award goes to you dude!

"This will hurt no one."
Hey man nice shot!!!
One day this song will bring back the balance in the US.
@Maritza Piccarillo no politician will. Did that ape prior to him do anything?
Praying
Yeah right
Here's yours. What a great tune. Love it
The 90s man. Good music for days and days
this song has help get me thru some really dark times
The cable guy brought me here. And of course my youth 😊
I always like to tack on some variant of "it's the best movie they (people who make movies) ever made" when talking about the cable guy, on account of it being the best movie they ever made. Such a good film.
I’m on a binge spiral. RIP Budd Dwyer.
Regular Show brought me here
Filter and Budd brought me here
Bud Dwyer, an innocent man.
No such thing as an innocent man kid
Lmfao
an innocent man who accepted a bribe ......
This is a Brutal f::;;ckin c song!!! I love it EeZzyER
Unlike the rest, old times gone and good music brought me here.
AquariumTech how's the fish ?
Who cares what brough you here... the fact is you're here
Barry wHite did i insinuate otherwise?
I was trivialising the implication that certain reasons for "being here" are better than others
"Unlike the rest"
RIP Budd Dwyer ! He was the secretary of treasury in the State of Pennsylvania, he shot himself on live television in 1986 it was the most fucked up thing a person could see .... You're in a better place now Budd !
Song is so fitting for another event now! Hey Kyle, Nice Shot man!
Budd Dwyer brought me here
He's dead so he couldn't have brought you here
The Old gun in the Nilla Envelope !
@@Karmen2010 lmao
Rip
:( ♡ Budd Dwyer.
Imagine being friends with a dude who can manipulate lightning at will and end up being killed by him.
At opening of EMP sat next to Filter in the musicians area. Seen Filter 3 times in concert, twice in 90s then at EMP in Seattle.
This is one bad ass song. For the longest time I did not know the band or the lyrics. Thought Nice Shot was Human Nation. Now, of course it all makes sense. Killer tune.
Yep. Me also. Nation. For years I had it wrong
Remember when people could actually sing? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
That's why I say hey man, nice shot
TIL people can't sing
We never could sing. Still just annoying noise to aliens
You can see all of that, but can you see why kids love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch?
I member
Dean Winchester: [after looking at the breaking news report with a drawn picture of himself on TV] Man. It's not even a good picture!
Geo Katsamas wich episode was this so I can watch it again
Season One Episode Six, "Skin".
Lmao such a good episode.
@@extraspooky819 Yes it is!!! 🥰🥰🥰
This is one of those songs you blast in your car and jam too!❤ it also has good memories with it! My son and my step son could most likely play this!
So, how pathetic are we gonna look in like 20 years, when we still reminisce to the youngins about how badass the 90’s were?
This song is for Budd Dwyer and the Red Letter Man I've read about in the New Testament..
Both innocent.
Both betrayed and framed to be guilty by people in high power and authority.
Both sacrificed themselves to save the people they love from suffering.
"I wish I would have met you, I'd say nice shot!"
🙌💯👏🙏
That bassline is FIRE!!!
I love this song from here on out Nice Shot2024 baby
Will forever think of Supernatural S1 episode 6 "Skin". An awesome episode!
Kenosha Kid
Alec Baldwin was playing this in his head when he shot that cinematographer lady.
That was indirect.
Been a long time since I heard this classic. Remember being so excited when I heard it on X Files.
this was the best concert ever when i saw them in the 90s.
God bless Budd Dwyer.
And curses to the evil rich man with its magic pen
One of the best base lines ever
Live in Columbia...he was like " hey big guy.. DON'T FUCKIN DROP ME....then he dived into the crowd while the rest of the band jammed on that cool bass line... that shit was epic..I'll never forget it..I was there to see stp but these dudes stole the show fo sho.
I heard this shit on the radio back in the day -- that's what the fuck bought me here.
