I think its not ralsei singing this to calm kris, but the force controlling him singing this to kris to calm him and so he won't rebel and be under total control. We can hear 2 lines coming from ralsei in the white box though.

This song means a lot to me. During the really tough times in middle school I would sing this little lullaby to myself when I was feeling really anxious or depressed. I was telling myself everything would be ok in a way that makes me feel it’s true, like I am truly pacifying myself. When my death anxiety would creep back into my mind in the depths of night’s darkness I would sing this little lullaby to myself to chase those little demons away, and it wouldn’t take long for me to fall asleep peacefully. Thank you so much Shy, you don’t know how much this means to me.

You know what hurts to imagine So, at the start of the song, it's ralsei singing it to Kris when he's hurt or maybe had a nightmare, basically comforting him And at the end, it's Kris snapping, fatally wounding Ralsei, and Kris is singing it to him as he dies, as a sort of sick, twisted type of comfort-- Another version starts out the same, Ralsei teaches the song to Kris... But at the end, Kris gets injured too badly to be saved, maybe during a battle where he's trying to protect Ralsei (I know that's not everyone's headcanons, everyone says Kris is soulless and being controlled lol) and is singing this to him with his last few moments, trying to comfort him-- Last version is similar to the second one. Ralsei teaches the song to Kris, Kris memorizes it... But this time, Ralsei gets either badly injured or very sick, and is going to die, and Kris is holding him and singing it to him to comfort him while he's dying, trying to reassure him that everything is okay, even though it's really not.
"hush now, hush now, no one can hurt you now..." That line really stuck with me. It sounds like something someone would say to you during your dying breaths. and "let sleep embrace you, don't be afraid of the dark..." sounds like "sleep" as in the sleep of death and reassuring you to not be scared even though you're dying. and also "just rest, rest and let your pain be blown away" you aren't in pain after you die... It's totally a dying breath lullaby.
When put in this context the meaning changes SO much compared to the original song and I love it! The line "and hear your heartache wisp away" in the original song is very literal whereas this version is your heart literally wisping away, cracking and breaking into dust. The very next line "Let sleep embrace you" feels more like Kris asking them to give into death, to not be afraid of the endless darkness which awaits them. Of course this is all my opinion but this is still a really good song. Keep up the good work!

Did anyone realize that if you add an “f” and rearrange the letters then Kris would say Frisk. Like how when you rearrange Ralsei you get Asriel.
Actually, Kris's name is a mix of Chara and Frisk's names.

ok, the first time I heard this, my headphones were broken and only one side worked. I just got new headphones and this is even better than the first time... it's like hearing it for the first time all over again. Music sounds so much better now...
*Kris places his hands on his head while screaming in pain and anger*
"Kris what's wrong?" Ralsei says while putting his hands on kris' shoulders.
*Kris gets down on his knees*
*Ralsei hugs kris as tight as he could*
"It's okay kris, i'm here." Ralsei says while rubbing kris' back.
*Ralsei feels something stab into his chest, ralsei grunts and pulls away from the hug revealing kris' sword halfway into his chest*
"K-Kris, i-i'm sorry." Ralsei says while pulling the sword out.
*Ralsei looks into kris' eyes as he picks up the sword planning to stab him again*
"N-No kris stop! I know there's still good in you." Ralsei says while blood pours out of his chest.
*Kris pulls ralsei's foot towards him bringing him closer to him*
*Kris starts pushing the sword towards ralsei*
*Ralsei holds the sword by the side stopping it from moving*
*Kris pushes it harder and stronger*
"I-If this is how you feel about me, then..."
*Ralsei pulls the sword towards him digging it into his chest, blood pours out from his chest as tears fall down his face while kris shows no sign of sympathy*
*Kris pulls out the sword and walks away without even taking one final look at ralsei's dying form*
"I-I'm s-sorry." Ralsei says as he slowly gets weaker and weaker.
*Ralsei finally fades as he hears laughter in the distance*
