- This is my honest first impression and drive with the stage 2 tune from bm3. Finally had the chance to really open it up and let her eat and I got to say, I am blown away. Entirely different car! Happy with the result and how the car feels as a whole.

F8x is one of my favorite cars ever both the M3 and M4 … so naturally I’ve watched a TON of videos on these cars - what I will say is this car is so cleanly modified with the perfect mods everywhere. I have not seen another person take this much care on an F80 before. These are the videos I’ll come back to when I buy one.

Gotta love that this car still has a hand e-brake rather than these godawful electronic parking brakes that are the "rage" now. Nothing replaces a proper drivers car. Manual transmission, manual parking brake, carbon roof, rear wheel drive (or awd, if you live in the northeast). =]
I have F80 Stg1 on bootmod. I can attest to their customer service. When I bought my car I was not aware it had a tune on it already. When I flashed it with bootmod the car was thinking it was GTS and I was in limp mode for a few days. I connected with bootmod support and they actually remoted into my PC connected to the car fixed my DME, so it could accept the bootmod tune. Awesome customer service!!!

That first pull you did and I could tell you didn't expect the car to get so loose was such an epic first impression lol! The most powerful thing I have ever been in was my friends 750hp mustang GT and I couldn't stop smiling so I can only imagine what this 600hp beast feels like lol

Glad to see how much you are loving the car, I have felt the same way for the past 4 years of owning mine. If you ever get bored of the power I highly recommend bm3 flex fuel sensor it works flawlessly, its discreet, easy to install, allows for the multi maps, e85 reading, rolling anti lag and the power jump feels the same as going from stock to stage 2 it's truly insane I hardly use e85 because the cars a handful as it is but it's fun to have when you want some more excitement
I love your content..I have a 17 m3 on botmod custom tuned stage 2..only making about 530 on 93 and on e85 about 580..it’s interesting how some s55 make different power based on certain mods and tuning knowledge..you definitely have the cleanest f80 on the net

Once you get used to the power and it feels slow again, put it on a custom e85 tune. It gets a whole lot better!
Totally agree with feeling “turbo lag” on the stock car. Just picked up an f80 and noticed that. Looking forward to tuning it. Wanna do that crank hub first 🙄

Great work, sick car. I have to say that would be too burbly/loud for me, but I do love a little bit of pop and bang on my JCW Clubman. Part of me really wants to get a Remus exhaust, but I have found over the years that I can drive harder on the street with stock/quite exhaust because it attracts less attention. So tempted to do it anyway though, but a B48E can be dang loud.

I have to argue with what you said about the oil thermostat. I'd argue it's one of my favorite mods on the car. I've got a fbo f82 pushing about 700, track and autox it and that thermostat keeps the car running for sure! It's a slept on mod but makes a big difference in the cars well being.
Definitely agree is a must mod! I’m sure it attributes to some performance gains overall, but didn’t want to claim it as a “power mod”. Reliability mod is a better term for it.
I had the same thing with my M3 Comp and GR Supra but I for sure shut off 99% of the burbles. M3 was so much better tuned for sure.

A bit when stopped at lights but it’s not that bad. My catless e46 was way worse.

Pretty much at the same point with my 18 comp (have an Avus individual), just went with ARM catless downpipes (resonated) + ARM single midpipe, using MHD with the multi-map, so I can turn off the burbles on the fly. Cannot stand the pops and bangs, sounds so annoying to me. Keep up the good work with the vids

Thanks. I don’t use air fresheners or scents in cars. I just keep the car clean.

Love these cars. I had an F82 M4. And in my opinion, F80 M3 is one of the best looking cars ever made. Kinda reminds me of 34 GTR of its time. And to this day still is gorgeous

I have the same car. 2018 M3 Comp 6MT but mine has 82k on it now. Going to do FBO from VSRF and Precision designer Motorsports one piece CrankHub. Having GDO Automotive do the job for me. Auto Coutore was just too expensive for me. I know you spent 🍞🍞🍞 with them 😅

Do you see another BMW that could possibly be a step up or is this your forever dream build? For me personally, I was looking at the 2024 G80 M3 CS as a possible next car or maybe an M8 Coupe (2024 or later), but I haven't driven the newer BMW's with the Xdrive system. All of the cars that I've driven were all manual transmissions. Does the modification with Bootmod3 along with your other modifications, make you totally forget about a possible move to an Xdrive system? When you say that it now has "super car" performance, it seems like you've reached the pinacle of what you were looking for.
Makes me completely forget about any other model. It’s wildly fast and a beautiful car. I do want an e92 in the stable though just for the sound.
I went from an f80 to a g80 comp rwd. My g80 feels a lot faster and the tech is a lot newer. If you don’t want to make insane power I’d say the x drive isn’t necessary. 5-600 is manageable rwd. 7-800 you probably want the x drive

Just the ots burbles in sport+. I have since adjusted them down so it’s not as prominent.

I just used the ots burbles. I will be adjusting them down. This was in sport+ and m2 so it was the most aggressive.
