We don't have a drug or gun problem. We have a mental health pandemic !. Never forget that the same government that allows hard drugs , is the same government that kept A.A. and N.A. meetings closed but allowed the purchase of alcohol and weed for 2 years .We need to care for each other more . Hugs
Yes . And not just “allow”. You said it right , mental illness is the coming plandemic .
Whatever we are doing to help, is not helping … try something different … force addicts to get help, jail dealers for life so the supply stops… do something different …
I feel for the people who fall prey to our enabling health care system and all the people who profit off this misery. Some people may be beyond change and I get that but many are not and there's little offered other than a lifetime membership to the ever expanding crutch club. Trust me when I say that you are better off not being a member.
so sad that even Hope is not spare with this.
I worked as a pharmacist at the Pharmasave both Miachel and Dr. Grover are great to work with, Always took care of patients even at the hardest of times and never turned anyone down. Really great pharmacists and Dr. I think the numbers would be a lot worse without them.
I've been to this place. It's a lonely, quite depressing town.
Hats isn't there to support the homeless
They turn so many away when there is lots of room
They enable the addiction
Truly a huge problem. Kudos to the people taking action and giving care, without judgment. 👍😎🇨🇦✌
I used to live in Prince George and pass through this highway a lot. These towns are quaint and sleepy.
That moose looked great.
They ran Rambo out of town for this ?
Wasting taxpayers money.
It's right out my window every day minute
Now that public drug use has been re-outlawed, people are now overdosing in private with no one to help.
What happened to Canada
I visited Hope a couple of times, its a beautiful area, wonderful community but it seems like leadership is stuck in the past. The town has a lot of opportunity to be an incredible city with lots of potential but its just waisted. The first lady said it perfectly, at what point do you realize using the same strategy isn't working and try something else. It seems the younger population actually want to do something.
Prescription drugs have harmful side effects ,that sometimes are worse ,than what you are taking the drug for ,in the first place … It’s a vicious circle…
Hope gives Hope. Addiction has been a problem for a few decades now. There is no specivity.
If you don’t want to get hit by a car. Don’t stand in the road. There is a solution to this problem. Don’t do drugs.
They have no controlled drug usage program.?
What ?!?!?! I mean seriously what did I just watch ?!
what concerns you about it?
De criminalize drugs ? WOW who could have seen this coming!
Tired of my tax dollars being wasted while as a tax paying citizen i am required to pay more and more and more and more and more
Jail or rehab thats your choice.
It’s not about compassion it’s about the community banding together and saying enough is enough and saying if you use or deal drugs you’re not welcome here. You don’t get rid of a rat problem by feeding them under the table.
"folks" is the dog-whistle. It means 'them', 'others'.
You figure that these people would take in the environs of the beautiful forest instead of being strung out on drugs. Peoples beliefs do impact their propensity to use drugs. I also believe there is a correlation with higher education and lowered drugs use.
60% First Nations. They WERE doing just as you suggest before their homeland was confiscated.
Its simple. Look at countries who arent having these issues and go from there.
Here is an idea? How about NOT USING DRUGS?!?!
wow i don't think they thought of that before
@@BC_Geoff well perhaps all folks should THINK of the consequences now using drugs. The warnings have been out there for quite some time now that fentanyl is turning up in almost all drugs now so it's life or death should one decide to use. Does one value their life more than getting high on drugs and then ending up dead?
Sorry Mr. self righteous but it's more complicated than that. Btw where you brought up in a shitty home environment ?
Many people began using opioids in the States for pain-related injuries because of overprescribing by doctors. They became addicted and had to turn to non-prescribed ways to feed that addiction when they could no longer access the meds legally. Very few social supports to help them existed, so they became trapped. Class-action lawsuits have been filed because of this. Not everything is black and white.
@@BC_Geoffwould that not harm the need for their service? Remember, it's all about 'harm' reduction. 😊
Hope-less, BC. You know why? Because the mountains block out the sun 90% of the day.
Why drugs? Alcohol is right there for you when you needed it and not criminal when used properly.
Yup, Henry filled up a grocery store in Chilliwack with her favourite juice. 😅
Alcohol is a drug and it's caused gigantic problems in families and communities.
What a terrible job this NDP government has done to people...
because of Liberal and NDP system is multinationed
Birdy num num
CBC is top propagandist channel
.
Rambo fought for your right to be a junkie!
What was really needed was Bruce Willis and Die Hard. Seems more fitting. 🤣
You can thank the drug dealers Eby & Henry for this.
