I have a October 2019 guncraft ar15 22wmr and ordered a 16” barrel. I did change the upper and lower for CMT, the gun does shoot amazingly well. Accuracy is unbelievable, more akin to a bolt action rifle. Rob and Dean are genius! You have to shoot one to appreciate it! Far from a toy or fad!
They have certainly improved on the WMR AR platform. It’s interesting to see the differences to the NWCP. Mine is in an aero build that I run a 22lr upper on also, nothing too fancy but it seems to work well with the GC so far.
I honestly can’t compare to a nwcp rifle, I’m running a triggertech trigger in mine and this is how much faith I have in my guncraft rifle; When they release the gen2 I will getting one of those as well with the forged receivers as the only annoyance I have over the ar15 platform is the way it keys or doesnt(!) together but Dean assured me it’s just one of those things hence the adjuster screws

I think these need one or two more versions to perfect the issues and iron out the creases, as well as releasing higher capacity magazines for it to be considered by the majority of .22LR AR owners
Like the vid mate! Love the Guncraft AR, definitely just need that extra mag capacity then .22wmr can be a serious competitor to the .22lr! Keep up the good work!
Great thanks, I wanted a .22 WMR anyway, now because of you I’m considering chipping in my 10/22 and replacing my .223 slot and .22 slot for .22 WMR and chopping them in for one of these 🙄😂

Hi there matey, am loving your 'Northern Style' as a fellow northerner it's nice to hear rather than yet another 'Shandy Drinker'. Just got my 22WMR Variation back from my local force and I am currently in discussions with Rob at Guncraft Ltd. about one of their 22WMR AR's. The thing that I can't seem to decide on is barrel length vs Handguard Length. What Length is your DD Handguard? as I am aware you're running one of Rob's earlier 18 inch barrels. The reason I ask is I like the look when the barrel doesn't protrude far past the Handguard, that way when you add a moddy it kind of has the look of an MP5SD if you know what I mean? Finally I see you like the Kriss Defiance DMK22, I've had mine for just short of three years and I absolutely love it, still one of my favourite gats. I'd post a pic but haven't worked out how to do it yet? Oh an incidentally this is my first ever You Tube comment so consider yourself honoured!?!?! lol.
Now then pal, cheers for the comment 👍🏻 My handguard is the 15” version. The barrel length is 18” but just remember that it sits back slightly into the receiver, so don’t forget to take that into account if you’re measuring up. Also, that’s not a Kriss I shoot, it’s another Aero build in 22lr 👍🏻

Looks a nice rifle well engineered, would it be unreliable for running with a mod and pest control use, would it do better than 1in groups with the right ammo
They run with moderators just fine. I got the occasional misfeed when moderated but the longer feed lips sorted that out. Just don’t forget you’ll still get the sonic crack as the rounds are supersonic. I can shoot 1” groups consistently with the right ammo and good conditions, and I don’t think I’m the best shooter out there so you may be able to tighten them groups up a bit. The consistency of the ammo will be the biggest factor though.
With the right ammo and optics I can get 1” groups at 100. Haven’t shot for groups at 50 but I’d imagine 1/2” 😀 The gun is pretty accurate for a WMR but it all depends on the ammo, I’d try a few different types before you buy a large amount of one type
The Kriss catch is basically a catch22 that these gen 1 guns already use. It still doesn’t give a true last round hold open though due to the way the magazines work.

The feed ramp must be a bit awkward to clean, I never realised they were fixed to the barrel. What is the gas key for, just aligning the bolt in the receiver?
It’s no more awkward than any other rimfire rifle really. I just use a cotton bud for it. Cleans it up real nice. Yeah, the gas key isn’t functioning it’s just to keep the bolt aligned when the rifles cycling.
