Sorry you didn't get to see much. So happy that you and your daughter had a road trip on such a special day. Also happy to see you playing cards. My husband and I play gin on flights and some people look at us like we're weird. Mary Rose
So sorry you didn't see much. I am blessed to live in the area of totality in Vermont. I got to watch it from my own yard, with my adult kiddos. A very amazing experience! Total darkness for a minute and a half, drop in temperature and just being a part of something bigger. It's also the most traffic I've seen on a dirt road in Vermont - ever! For four straight hours, cars went by my home, courtesy of "alternate routes" from Waze. At the most recent estimate, over 160,000 people came to our area to view this eclipse.
Awww I live north of Wimberly & although we had clouds, they moved away just in time for the glorious event! Such a beautiful 3 minutes & 28 seconds of time. Sky was still. Kids & grandkids were still & all I could hear was the kids ooohing & awwwing 😊. Such a great memory for us. So happy you could experience that with your family
We didn’t see much over here in San Antonio either. Just the total darkness which was very cool. My brother in Salemburg, North Carolina experienced some darkness too. Very cool
Thanks for sharing your 3 minutes of almost a total eclipse. I am I. Albany ny and we had grey clouds too. It didn't get dark though. 96.6% totality= not dark at all. 😮. Oh well, it was pretty cool though. See you soon!
Love that you got a road trip in with you and your mini you & your pup-a-reu's even if you didn't get to see the eclipse so well. Those are the moments that will last in you & her memories forever

You are so right about that. It was fun to be spontaneous.
I hate that for you guys! We got lucky and the clouds moved out in time.
That is wonderful! Memories for sure.
