If you remember, way back at the very beginning of ME1, you met a snotty volus ambassador in the embassy office with the two elcor. That was Din Korlack, the same volus ambassador you just rescued in this episode. He owed you that bombing fleet!

Didnt see anyone comment it yet but your interraction with Samara goes a little different if you've been more renegade throughout the games. She actually scolds you on your morality/choices and suggests that she may even hunt you down later to kill/confront you after the reaper war Lol. As always, nice playthrough!

Love the video btw. Without elaborating or spoiling, there is a mission at some point in this game that requires Liara. I would highly recommend Javik accompanying her. Again, an awesome video!
Wow, you really rock the vanguard role! Much respect! That is the one role I have not tried in an ME playthrough cause I am a sniper girl which can fit in every other class but Vanguard where you need to be up close and personal. Really enjoying your videos as I play catch up!
Always great to see others' take on things they experience in ME. In my view, Kaiden is an absolute sweetheart who needs lots of encouragement and hugs but Thane is someone you will always remember with his mannerisms and deep spiritual talks. I found it very enlightening to hear in your stream that some had heard the writers built his personality based on traits women in the team identified as attractive in a man. 🤔🥰
Glad Javik was adjusting well to the Citadel, his talk to that Asari, Turian and that Hanar was really cool.
Same with Jacob. Glad he settled down and began to enjoy life as best he could in a reaper war aha
I've seen most reactors don't like him and my pet theory is that the dislike is due to him being just about the only character who has a life, and goals, in no way involving Shepard . . .
They didn't make Jacob hate able and just people in the Mass Effect community have unnecessary hate against him.
I think most of the community mainly hates him because of how his romance goes in Mass Effect 3. And some of his snotty comments in Mass Effect 2 if you decide to break it off with him and go with another crew mate.
Javik having reservations about totally free AI at the end there is so interesting because it's so true, AI can be a terrifyingly powerful machine. Machines and living people will never be the same, this is part of why EDI weirds me out a little lol

Kaiden's game, almost non existent 😆. It's almost comedic how similar he is to the typical nice guy persona, well intentioned but unable to see the signs. Bless your heart Lucy for giving him chance after chance and being so patient 🥺☺️

Yeah. Love this playthrough but don't get the Kaiden thing Lucy is going for. Like speaking to a corpse. Even after he is dead she will get more inspiring answers from Thane :)
The Kaiden love scenes, 😂. Jacob always get trashed, and you’re right that the writers messed up with his character, but he does have a redeeming quality, he’s protector, he has a set of values that not even his father can take away. Any who, it was fun to know if Zaeed was a romance option that it would make ME2 spicier!! 😂. Well until next time take care and God Bless

Man, I am so happy you said this. Most of the streamers I've watched have immediately jumped on the renegade option in that dialogue and, like... I understand it. Archer is a bastard. But it always struck me as a bit infantalizing to make that decision *for* David. 🤔 Whether or not he ever forgives his brother is his own business.

In my MaleShep Renegade run:
SMASH - Ashley, Jack, Miranda, Kelly, Diana
MARRY - Ashley (I still managed to save Miranda by lying to her and stringing her along as much as I could... hey, modern problems require modern solutions)
KILL - a whole lot of people... including Wrex and Eve (but hey... bonus... I saved Mordin *and* got full support by both Krogan and Salarian that way!)
Smash - Sam Traynor (it's a very sweet romance, but not my main)
Marry - Liara (I understand Lucy's reservations about the Liara romance, and even Shep comments on it at the start asking is Liara interested in the Prothean beacon or actually in Shep. Liara admits at first it was fascination but then it became genuine interest the more they get to know each other. I just love her and my FemShep together 🥰)
Kill - Kai Leng!!!!!! He's my most hated character in the entire franchise!!!! He gets his though *heh heh heh*
I'm not sure how this game is played - I thought the last option was ALSO for a peep who is romanceable, but drives you so far up the wall you'll end up killing them . . .
If played that way : s & m = Liara T'Soni ; k = nobody, as I'm FINALLY old enough to know not to stick my you-know-what in crazy. In a universe without sweet, sweet Liara I end up with Tali'Zorah. Those hips, man! . . . those hips . . .

It took me forever to find Miranda this time because I didnt know you had to video her.I loved Javik's Citidel scenes and his lazer blue goo.I couldnt see him because I didnt have DLC.Lucy getting blue balls from Kaiden.
Javik's Prothean assault rifle is O/P. You may wish to use it yourself and mod it for damage and weight (if you can). It's obviously pretty accurate.
It was refreshing to see you fix the turret bug by getting on it and then off again. A lot of people just whine about it and let that noise carry on. 😂😂
I've found it pretty useless on Insanity, where a single shot from the Rachni Reapers can kill Shep dead (depending on your build, of course.) My go-to's remain the Mattock and the old-war rifle from the CITADEL dlc. Either of those with Freezing ammo + Slam? Brutal!
Also : Remtech allows Ryder to build a similar "constant beam" rifle in ANDROMEDA and, by the end, it's almost unbalanced if used with the right combo of profile+ammo+mods.
@@vincelang3779 I agree with you Vince. I was actually referring to Javik using it. He seems to have "great success!" as Borat would say. However, it's pretty handy with the right mods. I, like you, still favour the Mattock.
Heads up: I hated the fuckery in Andromeda with the weapon builds. It drove me nuts the first time I played the game, and I never seemed to have enough resources later for the remnant builds. Of course, I got fed up quick smart and just stuck to the 'boring' weaponry. 😁
@@Scottie_S Material resources do seem to be wildly unbalanced in ANDROMEDA. Copper, for example, is in HIGH demand and hard to find until you get to Voeld, after which you have so much it serves no purpose other than selling it for credits.
Could be one of those things EA never gave them the time to polish. Having said that, the game rewards picking one or two blueprints and STICKING WITH IT. So in my now 3rd playthrough I build *only* the Scattershot and Piranha shotguns, the Remnant P.A.W. and the Heleus "Hero" armour set. I may, near the end, faf around building an Equalizer SMG with homing abilities but it's only for fun. I don't really need this with my three best friends above.
Not wanting to pick a fight here but may I just say that the combat in ANDROMEDA is so much better than the originals it's not even funny!

Have you played Dragon Age 2? Brynn is the same actor who voices female Hawke. To be fair, I think Jacob was trying to compliment Shepard's commitment to the mission. It's just Jacob's manner is very matter of fact, which can come across as throwing shade.
I see the Jacob hate lives on through the next generation of players.

Other than he's one of the few not constantly kissing Shep's behind, or being emotionally needy. Most reactors even get self-righteous about his relationship with Brynne, while their Shep is the horniest Shepard to ever Shep, leaving broken hearts in every port. 😛🤨💔

27:15 I agree, Liara is a great friendship. Her time capsule and some other moments are more meaningful, IMO, when not romancing her. Same with Garrus, I can see why many people fall for either, or both, of them, but my heart will always go to Samantha. The start of her romance is pretty cringe, but once it's over, it's hard to not fall in love. She's funny with a perfect mix of snarky and sweet... and it goes without saying that accent is something else. I'm pretty much as in love with Alix Wilton Regan (Samantha's voice actor) as Samantha is attracted to EDI's voice.
Long story short, I keep the number of channels I subscribe to low (for personal reasons) but I will subscribe, if you to start the Citadel/Shore Leave DLC on your next episode. The Shore Leave DLC is similar to the Omega DLC in that you're 'locked in' until the story is complete, but unlike Omega there is much more after the story ends.
Sam's romance is very sweet, she's such a likeable character! I've never romanced Garrus for the very reasons you stated. He's my bestie, and I really think Shep needs that in her life! Liara is my romance 9/10 but I do love the interactions when you're just friends too.
With regards the Citadel DLC, it's too soon to do it, not everyone who can be there will be there at this point.. Needs to get a few more main missions done before going there.. But it's the best DLC in the entire franchise! 🥰

Javik may be a bit dour but... like all good commanders he does know *how* to deliver an inspiring speech.
Edit: ME1 Liara romance is definitely a 'teen crush' sort of thing. It does evolve wonderfully throughout the 3 games... and can have fun semi-awkward interactions in ME2/3 if you romance someone else.
Garrus is either a super cute boyfriend (from what I understand) or *THE* ride or die... mind if Wrex was in ME3 as a squadmate they might both be the ride or die.
Edit 2: Want to know something interesting that happens if you romanced Jacob? Also that was just the Particle Rifle... every squadmate that can have one should. There is a better Assault but it's expensive (Spectre shop).
50:00 he is using the particle rifle, its a beam weapon that does more damage after firing it for a few seconds, you should be able to use it yourself, but since your vanguard, i wouldnt reccomened it (considering vanguards main thing in mass effect 3, is the use of charge and nova), vanguards main weapon reccomendations is pistols and shotguns, but this Particle rifle is better for Soldiers and Sentinel classes.
I dont reccomened using the particle rifle for Vanguard, because you have to expose yourself for a few seconds to fully use the gun, and for vanguard that aint good idea, more so on harder difficulties.
Even with a fully upgraded and modded one I found Insanity became unnecessarily difficult. Mattock or the CITADEL old rifle + freeze ammo + slam (or Dark Channel) is the t!ts!

"Jacob is scum. Did you know that he would still start a family with the love of his life if he dated Shepard and then didn't hear from her for six months? How dare he?" 😡
Well in my point of view
The difference is with Kaiden it’s been 2 YEARS shepherd was literally DEAD the possible reason why some fans and myself are angry was that he automatically said we cheated when he not only distance from us as soon as he found out he was alive but he was dating someone around that time to try to move on. It’s not fair for Kaiden to say shepherd cheated when she was trying to move on as well.
As for Jacob he really is scum because Jacob new that Sheperd was gonna turn herself in and explain the situations with the reapers and acted like he was going to wait for Shepherd but instead acts like being with Shepherd wasn’t as serious only for a few months later to start having an affair. Plus even if Sheperd tries to end the relationship earlier in mass effect 2 he gets all mad about it. On top of that he automatically assumes what Shepherd wants and also blames HER for him cheating on her (sorry Jacob for trying to warn humanity from GALACTIC EXTINCTION!😡 ) Their are also other reasons to dislike Jacob but I would be creating more brick walls.
I think there’s a difference when your significant other has been declared dead for 2 years vs locked up for six months
@@MillyDel of course their is, it’s just Kaiden acted like we were still in an relationship when HE was dating someone else around to move on. Telling Shepherd she cheated even though he was dating somebody else it’s a load of BS. He ADMITTED seeing someone else while we was dead/in a coma and he was distant towards us because of the whole Cerberus issue. He also knew where Shepherd was but didn’t bother to patch things up then as well.
His romance wasn’t handled well at this part. But he’s still a way better option than Jacob.
Though personally I would never romance either of them( Garrus my Turian❤️)
@@Pheonixfirestar tbf I don’t disagree about FemShep/Kaidan romance being handled well, it’s why I personally prefer ManShep/Kaidan, it reads way better. My favorite FemShep romance is Traynor.
In fairness though there's a massive difference between your girlfriend being in a coma and then getting angry with her for having the absolute gall to dare be alive outright ending it and your girlfriend getting locked up for a mission that you were privy to, not ending it and then folding some other woman up and getting her pregnant.
If I was in a car crash and ended up in a coma and my girlfriend finished me and then accused me of cheating then she'd be under the patio. Likewise if we both murdered someone and I got nicked and then she went and got pregnant. She'd be under the patio. Not that I really care mind because I think both of these fellas are mind numbingly dull but I get why people make that observation
If you didn’t read your email about Kai Leing Miranda would have been killed later In the game, I don’t think this is a spoiler since you’ll never end up seeing that situation, also if you romanced Jacob he would end up cheating on you while your gone and that one lady would be very rude
I never really liked Jacob as a character, I always felt he was very judgy towards Shep. And it bugged me how the writing pretty much forced you to be flirty with him. It's like they realised out of all the romancable characters in ME2 he was the weakest and the least likely to be picked.
You can avoid flirting with him all together with the neutral dialogue, the other options are obvious that they'd be flirt lines. Jacob's fully platonic after his mission.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 True, he does, and it becomes a lot more tolerable but that initial line of dialogue from FemShep "I just wanted to talk for a bit.." is still a bit flirty haha
@@aoifehart554 Or the breathy, throaty way FemShep says "Dismissed . . . chief!" to Williams in MASS EFFECT. Very, very, very often the VO dialogue is recorded before the script is fully and completely locked-in. Little things like that slip through the cracks . . .
