On a quest for the Shoebill

One of the most sought-after bird species in Africa is the Shoebill, a large prehistoric-looking bird, only occurring in remote papyrus swamps. Mabamba swamp, located along the lake Victoria not far from Entebbe, is one of the most reliable places for Shoebill spotting in Uganda.
