I'LL WALK WITH GOD

In the musical film “The Student Prince,” Prince Karl (played by Edmund Purdom) sang I’LL WALK WITH GOD at the coffin of his grandfather, the king of Karlsburg. The song was composed by Nicholas Brodzky, a songwriter, and Paul Webster, a lyricist, and published in 1954. It was famously performed by Mario Lanza, who dubbed Purdom’s singing in the movie. Five years later, Lanza rerecorded it in stereo, which to date becomes one of his signature songs.
