    The arrangement was written by me.
    This song is definitely way out of my comfort zone for putting into just one piano, just the style doesn't generally suit my arrangements. But I really wanted to give this one a try since there aren't enough renditions of it. One of the most surprisngly legendary songs on the SNES. And a birthday cover.

    Incredible. This is like the only arrangement for this song I've been able to find on the internet and it's a damn good one

    I know it's an old video so it's not entirely important, but in the 4:4 section there's a missing 16th note, which can be stuck onto either the beginning or the end (neither interpretation is wrong)
    it looks like you've gone it at the start of the section, resulting is a slightly off-kilter rhythm for the section, but leads into the beat turnaround at 1:56 smoother.
    I was gonna make a note about the 4:4 section "starting early" but upon rethinking it that's a nice way to add the extra beat/simplify the whole thing.
    So technically it's not 100% correct but who cares, it's one 1/16th note, its a really good transcription!

      Darn... I believe it, this was hard to transcribe :)
      Especially around that section where the tempo changed which is probably how I didn't count that extra beat there

      @@LaserTrapProductions Another thing I really liked was how you interpreted the bass clef at 0:33. In the actual song the low end is just constant full chords, which sounds good in the context of a synthesizer, but for piano, to stop it from getting too muddy sounding and to really emphasize the walkup on the 7 and 1, you have it written the way you do. also very clever!
      Do you have these pages available anywhere? just to test myself I want to see if I could add that in, it's been awhile since I've touched a sheet music program so who knows lol.

      In terms of something you could download into another program? No, not really, just PDF available on Patreon (behind a paywall, yeah, I know...)

    Is it just me or are the 16th note subdivisions a little wacky? Like in measures 5-8, couldn't you do 4+4+3+3?

    • @LaserTrapProductions
      @LaserTrapProductions  2 роки тому +1

      I'm not sure what you're referring to with 5, and your counting sounds like it adds up to 15 but I don't see that either.
      The subdivisions for the bars in 7/8 are a little wacky though, yes.

      @@LaserTrapProductionsthey’re talking about the sixteenth-note beams. They don’t match up with the beats. They’re currently written as a group of six sixteenth notes followed by two groups of four when they should be written as 2 groups of four sixteenth-notes (to line up with the quarter-notes) followed by either a group of six or two groups of 3 (to line up with the eighth-notes and sixteenth-rests).

      @LaserTrapProductions  Місяць тому

    • @LaserTrapProductions

      The 2nd chord is one tone down from that exactly, so F# A D E C#
      I'm not going to eventually type out all of them though, sorry lol
