- This is the best method I've come up with to make Paper articulation and have been using it consistently for the last 3 years or so. This video is an update to previous 'Frame & Articulation Tutorial' that is more concise and specific. I think so at least.

A quick contribution: you can make those joints using super glue (loctite) and card shims, with two benefits: the super glue hardens the paper and the shim allow a sleeker profile on joints like these.

This is an updated tutorial on how I make what I call a T-joint which I use for all my articulation. It’s not the most exciting or requested video but I will have a series of new tutorials over the coming weeks and I had to make this technique clearer before doing them, Thankyou!

there isn't? its the same type of joint I always use, I just call it a t-joint because it looks like a T, before you add the card at least.

I really wanna get the exact same measurements as you because I
just like to perfect it like you.
okay well in that case I make evertthing in a 1/8 scale. So i find the official height and divide it by 8. So spider-man is 178cm therefore my model is 22.3cm. Doomfist is 218cm so my model is 27.2cm etc.
And every drawing I do is to this scale as well. If you have any questions about specific measurements of something feel free to ask!

hey i'm almost done with my eva hehehe but i didn't make eva 01 and i have a question have you create a small version of your paper toys like 5inch?
Nice, No not really. When I started I didn't have any scale I was sticking too but they still ended up being around 18-20cm tall. Now everything is in a 1/8 scale, even the pokemon. well except for the ridiculous things like a titan or Eva. I actually drew an Eva to the size I would make it and it would be 50cm tall! In a 1/80 scale

When I make that I will always been in trouble because of the tape when I make the circle and stick tape to the end I always make it multiple work because when you stick it you always cut it for the tape to stick into the paper but when you cut it it turns non-sticky anymore and the paper circle be unwrap again pls reply how plsssss.and Idk what is the size of the paper to warp to the join

the joints I used to make where not solid at all I would just hot glue the card onto the "pivot" instead of cutting a hole and reinforcing it from both sides lol it wouldn't go to well
hahah how good is that trick! it took me years to figure it out and It's the key to making strong joints from paper...well I think so, glad it helped.

More or less. what you do is; instead of attatching the pivot to a tube of paper for the lever, you attach the pivot of one joint to the pivot of another joint. the same way by wrapping the two pivots with card and filling the gaps with glue. It's not as strong though so I only use it for the neck

Edit:I managed to make it work by replacing the double sided tape with glue. Also your pin is huge. Yours is 2.5 inches or 6.3 cm mine is 2.2 cm or 0.9 inches. Your t joint is huge. Nevermind I missheard. You said 2.5 cm.

There are other brands of double-sided tape. I'm currently trying to make one (A chibi Kamen Rider OOO) and I use Paramount Tape brand, coz' that's the only brand I can get ahold of here in my area

then your shoulder, knee or whatever might be a bit bigger, no big deal. just make sure there's enough of a gap between the pivot so the pivot doesn't actually get glued
