Music has the power to get past our mental defenses and strike right at our hearts. Not only that, but the lyrics get stuck in our heads when music is attached to it. This is why it is extremely important to analyze the music you listen to and to never let your guard down.

    • @alanhuber364

This is not only true of music but anything that affects our emotions.
Fictional movies and stories affect our emotions of pleasure or pain, therefore that exciting of the senses causes us to create a memory that is based upon fiction and imagination. We can even cry and grieve when our favorite character dies, even though we know in our minds tgat that character is only imaginary. And that created sense of grief can be felt for days or even years, simply because those things which excite us are the memories which remain with us and are the easiest to recollect. And they can be fictional and self created memories.
One of the powers of music is that it brings back memories, whether experienced or fictional. That's why good music is therapeutic, but bad music can do the oppisite. Music is like the trigger on a gun.
It triggers emotions, which bring up memories, real or fictional, and held in the wrong hands it can protect or destroy lives.

Very rewarding to see this young man did this interview as ever generation needs leadership of the same age, but to be in that position a youth also need to find pearls from the elders.
This not a thing that can br Googled. It requires real conversation like this.
May this youngman be blessed to carry on and show others where to find God.

I came out of the charismatic movement. Most of my friends are still in it. Does Justin, as a secessionist, believe God can still do miracles, if He so choose?. Like in heavily persecuted nations, they have testimony of God supernatural interventions. Also people sometimes do have miraculous healing, unexplainable by doctors. We can ask for God to heal us, correct? I have a personal example, I like yo share. My first husband broke my heart by having affair and getting the girl pregnant. I am unable to have children. Devastated me. I had just got saved when I married him. He wanted nothing to do with Church. He presented me with divorce papers. I begged him to reconsider. He told me, he wanted nothing to do with God and proceeded to curse Jesus. I never heard him talk that way. At this point I didn't know about the other woman. Now as almost audible as could be, I heard the Lord say. " his rejection is of Me". And then 4 other times, as though highlighted, he said stuff like" church is for women and kids" and I want zero to do with God" ect...would you say, I didn't really hear that from God🤔.

I encourage you to take it ine step at a time.
A time to be still in your spirit, and specifically ask God to show you in His word each question you have.
I did that for several months without realizing that I doing it deliberately!
I know that must sound strange, it's not been easy for me to explain to anyone yet, as I am still learning (or un-learning?) and understanding what God is doing in my life.
I do know, however, that He is lovingly and purposefully opening my eyes to His TRUTH!!
4 weeks ago, it felt SUDDEN as I was alone in my bathroom listening to worship music ny Michael W. Smith (his old stuff from the 80's) and after I knew it, 2 or 3 hours had gone by and it was ALMOST as if I had just met Jesus for the first time! All of the word I had hidden in my heart was going through my thoughts, yet I was understanding it in a way I never had.
That night around 1 am God showed me my first Justin Peters video and I was like, OOOHHHHH!!!!!!!! OK....!!!!!
I am honestly telling you nothing in me has been the same since that evening/middle of the night. I can never thank God enough. Never. He is still intently leading me, showing me through His word, and I am still intently listening/following and I never plan to stop!!!
I can't say, though, that I am in 100% agreement with every single little thing that I have heard Justin speak...but it has been rare and nothing major (can't think of a specific one rn) and I assume it's because I'm still learning and realizing just how deceived I have been literally my entire life.
I'm sorry, I got carried away trying to explain and I wanted to tell you that I am going pray for you after I stop typing!
I think I can understand where you are.
His grace is sufficient! His mercy and love endure forever ❤️

This man is so obsessed w charismatics and his cessationism he reminds me of the fundamental Baptist and their obsession w KJV and their church traditions. Their whole world begins to revolve around these things and than an enemy, a boggie man must be found i.e. NAR WOF or for the fundamentalist its liberal neo evangelicalism.
God is a supernatural transendent being. He is found where He is, not just in some narrow interpretation of His Word that seems to serve the rational minded. Perhaps I am going out on a limb but I believe God is honored by those who seek Him. Seeking Him is so crucial.

Well, to call "cessationism" everything that denies the "the special gifts" seems misleading.
It's a spectrum. On one side you have fulll cessationism, no such things as gifts anymore.
On the other side you have full "charismatic". Now, obviously we see more shame to the gospel in this one than in that.
But the common view (called continuationism) that most gifts still go on today is hardly "cessationist".
Even if you believe in the ocasional, rare manifestation of tongues (which does not include this whole mainstream pentecostal churches), that still doesn't mean you believe those are "inspired new revelation from God".
If cessationism means you believe God has ended His inspired revelation with the book of... Well.. Revelation, than every Christian in cessationist. You can't be a Christian and not be cessationist by that definition.

They're not charismatic, they're just Christians who have the Holy Ghost. Read God's word and believe it. What makes you think the gifts of the Spirit ceased? There's absolutely no scripture that says that. If you think that scripture about when that which is perfect comes means the Bible. Yes the bible KjV is perfect but that scripture is talking about when Jesus comes. If you read what Peter quoted in Acts ch 2 you will notice the prophecy not only mentions what was happening that day with the 120 but all the way to the return of the Lord.
You use that stupid word charismatic to sort of make those who are like the beginning of the church which the norm was to pray in tongues to seem foolish. One day I promise you, you will give account to the Lord for teaching people against the baptism in the Holy Ghost. You pick certain well known people that have gotten into error and try to stereotype every Christian who obeyed God's word and receives the Holy Ghost with them.
    READ THE FOLLOWING
1And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? @@tomtemple69 I'm not sure what you said because you kind of bounced around like a basketball.
The truth is it's God will that every believer prays in the spirit (tongues) and with the understanding.
Many listen to lies of people teaching tongues and the other supernatural gifts of the Holy Ghost ceased , but that's all they are is liars. If you don't want the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues that's your choice but God's will is that you receive the Holy Ghost and pray in tongues.
According to what Paul said everyone prayed in tongues. The devil came in at some point and convinced many not to be baptized in the Holy Ghost. note the following scripture. Those 12 were Christians .They didn't know about the Holy Ghost but when they were told about it they received the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues and prophecied .
1And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? @@mountuplikeaneagle tongues are mentioned exactly 3 times in Acts, all had different circumstances
There is one particular detail about this account that the rest don't have: the laying on of hands of the apostles
Only they could impart gifts by laying on of hands
Acts 2, the Spirit fell on the apostles who were all Jews
Acts 10, the Spirit falls on gentiles
Acts 19, the Spirit is given by the laying on of hands
The progression is just like Jesus says
First Judea, then Samaria and then to all the ends of the earth
First to the Jews, then the half Jews(smaritans) and finally the apostles
Tongues are not the baptism of the Spirit they are the fulfilment of prophecy, do you know how many times the old testament mentions tongues? Moses, Jeremiah and Isaiah mention judgement upon Israel and one of the signs is a foreign tongue
And at the same time, the fulfilment of the prophecies of salvation going to the gentiles
You are reading one passage divorced from its context, out of the context of Acts and ignoring the entire old testament...
And Paul even says explicitly not all speak in tongues so that just clearly pulverizes your very faulty and poor interpretation that you developed from the pentecostal tradition or Charismatic

Everyone I talk with a cessationist we always start with scripture and about 5 minutes in when they realize that cessationism isn’t biblical they go to straight to evidence. I can prove biblically that the spiritual gifts has continued. Cessationism cant. They have to go to evidence, to get any ground.

whenever i talk to a continuationist, they can't actually define their position or what the gifts truly are
they have to expand the definitions of the supernatural gifts to include just about anything
fallible prophecy, gibberish babbling is now considered tongues, fortunetelling and cold reading= word of knowledge, one person out of 20 they pray for healing recovers suddenly they're a faith healer and casting demons out of Christians(totally unbiblical) not to mention no historical continuance of every single gift, so then you have to claim that the church lost the Holy Spirit for 1800 years until Charles F Parham brought it back in 1901 when pentecostalism started

ok i'd love to hear your hear your proof that EVERY single gift ever mentioned in the Bible has continued
heck, i'd love to see you prove even the New Testament gifts, every single one has continued
I'd bring up the Old Testament gifts(given by the same Holy Spirit) but you'd deny that and say "that's old testament/old covenant, things aren't the same"

@@tomtemple69 “In this way, the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you, so that you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
      ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬-‭8‬ ‭
Any spiritual gift, meaning all the gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 12. And Paul gives a time stamp as well, when Jesus returns.
“Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will come to an end.”
      ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭
Again, perfect comes. When our bodies are made complete. When Christ returns.
“And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.”
      ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭13‬
When is the time stamp Paul gives? When we all reach unity in the faith. When does that happen? When we’re all before the throne of God.
And please don’t assume anything. Prophecy is the same in the New Testament as well as the Old Testament. If anything cessationist change the definition of prophecy. I’m not including you because I don’t know what you believe. But I read R.C. Sproul last night and he changed the definition in his book “everyone’s a theologian”

Justin Peters is a false teacher. He has said that people love more than God, meaning, God doesn’t only hate sin, He hates the sinner. (Bible says God so loved the world)
Justin teaches that only the Elect can be saved. (The Bible says whosoever calls upon me can be saved).
Justin teaches Jesus only died for the elect, not for everyone. (Bible says He wishes for none to perish).
Justin teaches that man is incapable of coming to God. (Bible says come unto me ALL ye that labor).
If God predestined people to be saved, there would be no need for a savior, there would be no need for Christ’s death, this would make his god a narsasist.
