I'd hit the weedy area with some Trimec in a sprayer. Another idea is with the blue grass mix some rye grass seed with it...rye germinates in 2-3 days where the blue grass takes weeks. The rye will hold your soil and will eventually get overrun by the blue grass.

Hey Cole, I'm a retired dairy farmer that has also run a lawn care company for the past 33 years. For just seeding your lawn last fall, its really looking good. The weeds really are no big deal, like you said 24D will take care of most of them. As for crabgrass, you wouldn't see any yet. It dies out every fall and it probably its just beginning to germinate now in your area. You will see a lot of it lot of it later on because of the new seeding. Early next spring spray the lawn with a pre emerge crabgrass control. Good luck, any questions let me know.

Alternately, mow less so that the grass is able to establish an extensive root system to feed the grass when it is mowed. Also not getting hung up on a desire for monoculture lawns is a great option.

Hey used to work at a sod farm here in Oklahoma and my boss would use Dawn dish soap at a ratio of about 3 gallons per teaspoon.
For broadleaf weeds prior to him spraying 2 4D. He would do this twice in a week prior to Spring the 24d.
Definitely will say this kills a good 40% of the weeds prior to the harsh chemicals, it works
    Definitely gives the chemicals advantage

But before that I have an rv to move because my brother's house is stuck on the road in. Which is just a path right now lol. Right now we are parked just outside the trees looking over a hillside which is a beautiful view but not our permanent location. You've done a beautiful job turning that place around. Spray again in 28 days. 2.4-D will not kill the weedy grasses, and will mess with any overseeding you do. Mesotrione is also known as Tenacity. Grass is beautiful and your first mowing!! You and Nave should celebrate!!! We may get down to freezing I think Tue night/early Wed here in Northern Arkansas. I hope ya'll have good, productive crops this year and the weather cooperates. SUMMER, can the videos be 15 min at least? You did awesome on today's video!! It flowed well. My heart rate has been racing a bit with each video, afraid with getting the corn out, it will pile on the ground somehow. It must be difficult watching over the corn removal process with only one person at times. HAVE A GREAT WEEK YA'LL ❤❤😎🚜🌽❤❤

The saying around our place is " The first time is the worst time ". It doesn't matter if you are planting, baling, or combining and no matter how much you prepare, the first time out is a headache! My Grandpa always said it builds character. ( I didn't buy into that one! LOL

First day in the field is always spent in the shop.
