I just have no description for Wilma’s voice. Every time I try I ...can’t. But that’s when you know you’ve truly been blessed by somebody’s art. Thank you so much for sharing.
I was about 12 years old and Bill and Wilma would come over and visit my Dad and stay for hours picking and singing. My Dad was Graham Denton. Bill and dad were pretty close back then. I always was impressed with Bill's talent and how small that mandolin looked when he held it. Bill was not a small man. Anyhow i liked bill and wilma both.
love the song and the singers too!!! makes me think of my grandma . my family is from Buncombe county ,N.C.my grandma and mother would sing like that but my grandma played the banjo . She past away at 90 years old in 2003 . now she plays for GOD and is waiting for the rest of the family to go home . thanks for the song !!! please do more !!!
Snowbird (Snowbird), Snowbird Mountain is my home, Down in Caroline; Snowbird (Snowbird), Snowbird Mountain, Is where I'll rest beneath the pines. High in the hills of North Carolina, There's the place that's home to me; Far from the reach of any big city, And that is where I long to be. Snowbird (Snowbird), Snowbird Mountain is my home, Down in Caroline; Snowbird (Snowbird), Snowbird Mountain, Is where I'll rest beneath the pines. I want a drink of that cool mountain water, I dream of its taste so pure and sweet; I want to wade through the creek on old Snowbird, And feel the rocks beneath my feet. When I get home to North Carolina, From there I'll never more roam; I'll live out my life and always be happy, There in my Snowbird Mountain home. Snowbird (Snowbird), Snowbird Mountain is my home, Down in Caroline; Snowbird (Snowbird), Snowbird Mountain, Is where I'll rest beneath the pines.
