This reminds of a level I got in endless that was also a dark underwater maze in both main and sub world. No spikes or anything but the World Record time and clear check time were around 8 minutes 10 seconds (490 out of max 500 seconds) No CPs, no other lighting, and no frog suit or item for speed. Just 8 solid minutes of a dark underwater maze. I love endless expert.
I think the kaizo blocks were there to stop cheese, so that you had to do the challange as intended. When you went up the 'intended' path, you didn't run into any.
okay let's explain a bit: The mansion level with Thwomps is great. Cool idea, cleverly designed. It is obvious that it is created by someone who knows what they are doing. Knowing that, we can assume that the shellmet is meant to be put on. If it was needed to do a shelljump, it would not have been put in a ? block like that (and surely not so far from the shelljump); it would have been given in a different way, like a buzzy beetle or smth, a way that says "use me to shelljump" (it's hard to explain but good creators will understand). A shell given in a ? block, exactly like a power-up, is meant to be a power-up. Plus the level overall obstacles are not as hard as a one-try shelljump. The clock thing is a bit scuffed tho. But knowing that ↑ and seing the clock, I would instinctively have searched for a hidden block, even with missing the clue at the beginning of the level. (this clue is kinda scuffed due to the screen moving) (sry for bad english)

Thats just not true, it happens plenty of times that a level is promising at first then something absolutely awful comes along. You're being logical off of an assumption that is factually incorrect, so, not logical at all. Any way in this specific case it was poor use of hidden block, to use a subtle puzzle element like that in an autoscroll level is just not a good idea. You dont have time to check for background elements that don't stand out well at all.

Panga actually has asked an interesting question - does アスレ (asure) mean half-athletic because it's just half of the word? The answer is no, Japanese tend to shorten a lot in their own language and it affects the borrowed words too. It doesn't change the meaning
Oh that explains why I saw vocabs like デパート and スーパー！When I started learning Japanese (which is recently), I was wondering how come it shouldn't be something like デパートメント・ ストア and スーパーマーケット。
