You can really FEEL the emotion from Peter! Maybe because I feel IT IS ABOUT Fred? Maybe. It's a beautiful rendition none the less!

I think Freddie's friendship meant A LOT to Peter & the way Fred treated him, is appalling! Can you imagine your best friend cutting you out of their life over showing concern about your health? That is what a REAL friend does---they want to know WHAT is going on with you---no BULL & made up stories! They want to be there for you. I think Peter was extremely hurt by Fred's actions. He must have felt so empty, sad, angry, confused. The words to this song have a whole new meaning when I realize HOW Peter felt losing Fred. Everyone talks about Mary, but for me this is more meaningful as it pertains to Peter and Fred's friendship and HOW it ended. I feel very badly for him. Freddie was an incredible talent, but that was for the stage. I think he hid a lot of secrets inside that haunted him. It's not pretty, as fans would prefer to focus on the greatness of his talent, (and that's fair), but he was one really psychologically screwed up person. He couldn't decifer who was a real friend from who wasn't. His supposed "inner circle" were a bunch of people he was paying or who depended on him in some way. Peter didn't want or need anything from him. HE was a TRUE friend. *Peter sounded amazing here!👍🙂
