The Johnston Collection Behind The Scenes | 'RETURN TO THE CITY'

Christmas at The Johnston Collection is an exhibition held each year from October to January where artists and craftspeople from a different region of Victoria are commissioned by the museum to create works inspired by Fairhall exhibition-house and William Johnston's collection.
In 2016 The Johnston Collection invited some of Melbourne’s best contemporary makers to create work for the exhibition ‘RETURN TO THE CITY’ | Christmas at The Johnston Collection 2016 (4 October 2016 to 31 January 2017). This video provides a behind-the-scenes view of some of the makers as they install their work in Fairhall before the opening of the exhibition to the public. Featured, in order of appearance, are Robyn Rich, Irianna Kanellopoulou, Amanda Dziedzic, Lewis Brownlie, The Hotham Street Ladies, Sai-Wai Foo and The GLAD Rappers as well as volunteers of The Johnston Collection and the Simpson Bros www.johnstoncollection.org
