I had to laugh at your son’s love for Eric Carle. My friend’s son would scream if they left the house without a Sandra Boynton board book. He was 8 months old when it started and his screams were very loud! It’s really a charming story when you’re out of earshot. Happy New Year to your family 🥂.
Thank you! And yes, it's very funny, and good to know other babies have similar reading concerns lol. As of this week my son has started screaming and crying when we finish a book. He'll stop as soon as you start the book over again, but you can't read on loop forever.... can you? hahaha
So many lovely bookish gifts! I read The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen as a teenager, but I honestly don't remember what I thought of it. I think it's definitely worth a shot though!
Oh I loved dear reader sooo much and I really want to read the murder of mr wickham. I’m planning on a chill reading year but want to love classics so have some ideas for that
Yes, Dear Reader is spectacular! I can't wait to discuss The Murder of Mr. Wickham with you when you get around to reading it. And I have to catch up on your channel soon! I know there are all sorts of plans for the year on there already.
Happy New Year! Eric Carle is delightful. Your son has good taste! I love that vase! I got a set of Miss Marple books and some lovely editions of some Georgette Heyer books. It was a good bookish Christmas!
Happy New Year! Yes, I think my son might turn out to be quite the little reader. He has developed a second favorite book which is Eric Carle's ABC book, and as of this week starts sobbing when we finish a book. Your Miss Marple and Georgette Heyer books sound delightful! I'm glad you had a wonderful bookish Christmas. 💕
I read Dear Reader and I liked it. It's an unusual book, very thought-provoking and good for discussions. However, I found it irregular in tone and style. The lists of books at the end of each chapter are supposed to be related to the story, but sometimes I could not say in which way. Most of the books in these lists are books that I love. For me the last third of the book is extraordinary, much better than the rest. So I advice you to read it through to the end. Happy new year!
Happy New Year! Dear Reader was one of my favorite reads in 2021. I found it both interesting and moving. I'm French and did not know all the references given by the author (although I can't say that I remember them now), but being very fond of British (and English-Speaking) literature must have helped. I'm looking forward to watching your review as well as your next videos :)

You can get origami flowers made out of book pages! They could be perfect for your vase ❤
How precious that your son loves The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
It really is. He's completely enwraptured with it. 💕

Ah, thank you. I guess it wasn't very memorable, but I'll see if any one else has thoughts. It's not particularly high on my to read list right now.
Happy holidays. Those are all wonderful bookish gifts; Especially I like the purple socks, which look warm and comfy.
Thank you! I hope your holiday season was full of warmth and joy. The purple socks are exceptionally cozy indeed. 💕
Love the bookish gifts 😊😊 I am a fan of the library! I love to browse and see if something grabs me

Happy New Year! And thank you for all of your advice on Dear Reader! It's definitely irregular, but that's also what makes it so wonderful.
Eric Carle is king by us too! Brown Bear Brown Bear is #1 in our house.
Yes! We've branched out a bit since this video, but Eric Carle is still a favorite.

Thank you! Yes, Dear Reader is absolutely amazing. I see how it would make a favorites list. 💕
Children do take up a lot of time. It gets easier to find time as they get older. Happy New Year!🎉
Oh I do hope you're right. I miss having all the reading time, and I never felt like I had much before.
Happy New Year! 8 months old already!
Thank you! And Happy New Year to you too! 💕
