Hi there, if the valve is screwed tightly into the trough, it should be able to come off by turning it anti-clockwise if you're facing the valve. If you are trying to separate the valve from the tail with it not screwed into the trough, you will need to place poly-grips or a vice onto the yellow locking ring and turn it anti-clockwise. I’m not sure I understand how to get the valve to come apart by turning clockwise. I’ve literally stood on it to no avail…help!
