Fishing Crappies In Shallow Weeds (BEATDOWN)

- Well went out there for some big bluegills and found nothing but crappies. Fishing shallow weeds is one of my favorite things to do on the ice. These fish are so aggressive and love eating. Was hopping there was some gills mixed in but at least the crappies were loaded. Nothing big but an absolutely beatdown. Make sure to not over look shallow weeds in the middle of the winter for panfish. The ice is going to get a lot better in the next week so I hope we can see if we can get on some good spots. His buddy is just doing his thing man lol. He would rather sit in a warm comfortable fish house and not have to haul crap around the lakes so I can't really blame him. I do however think that a lot of the UA-camrs need so do more fishing and less cooking. I didn't come to watch them cook and eat food and do a little fishing, I came to watch them catch some fish and give out some tips and pointers. Seems like everyone wants to be a chef or something lol.

Always dig your videos! Can any of you fisherman give me some advice on crappies through the ice? My dad and I fish Ashtabula in Valley City ND and we always get crappies in the deeper basins, in general, but we have never caught them in the shallows. Do crappies generally behave like walleyes and come up shallower to feed and then go back deeper for ice fishing?
