Brilliant instructions, thanks so much! (And on the glass removal video too.) The cover managed to jump out of my hands as I was pressing on the clips though and hit the deck - good job I was replacing it anyway!
Brilliant video, great detailed guidance, I found this a little tricky to remove and is easily damaged, Shane this video wasn’t about before I did it 😅
Great instructions! May I ask you, if one of the two motors was broken, would both mirrors stop folding/unfolding? Mine both suddenly stopped working, started working again after 6 months and now stopped working again! Could it be a malfunctioning motor or should I check the cables?
We no longer have the car and in any case it didn't have powerfold. Whether one motor failure would stop the other working is difficult to say. It very much depends on the ECU software written by the OE. On a noughties BMW if one motor failed, the other would fold out and then back in again❗ On some Land Rovers, the mirrors can get out of synch - one folds out as the other folds in❗ In any event, my first port of call would be to check all the wiring and especially connections, look for loose or corroded connections. Check fuses too. Also check your battery state of charge and that your alternator is charging okay. Also check earth points for corrosion. Sorry I can't be more specific. Good luck and please let us know what you find.
Hi, thank you for the intructions. My entire mirror frame is badly attached to the door (i suppose it was a bump by a previous owner). Can I tighten it up by removing the side cover, or I have to dismount the entire door panel? Car model is Seat Ibiza 1.4L Sport 84, 2009. Thank you
Three years on and this video still useful, as the same thing happened to me... well, either that or someone clipped it in the supermarket car park in just the right spot to make it pop off!

Fantastic! Pleased to be able to help and that you learned something along the way.

Ah, can't be helped. Yes, it is a little 'tricky', which is why I suggested putting a cloth down.
Thanks so much man, managed to fix my mirror cover with your guide!
Great to hear, Stuart. Welcome aboard
Perfectly explained
Glad you think so! Thank you
Somebody smashed my mirror off. I've got a different coloured replacement. Going to see if I can fit the other colour myself. Thanks for this help 😅
Don't you just hate that, eh? Do let us know how you get on.
Hey pal, I had the same issue as you, do you know how to remove the actual side mirror so I can replace it with another?
Amazing very helpful
Thanks for your feedback
Helped a lot cheers !
Excellent. Any other areas on Ibiza of interest to you
Cyclone Cyd maybe replacing the sun visor and the screwdriver you would need to use, or how to replace the speakers maybe?
@@3THUGGER I'll see what I can do 🤘
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
Thanks can you show us how to change light bulbs from the headlight
Ah, I would, gladly. But someone in a big Merc SUV hit it hard and wrote it off 🙄

@@CycloneCyd Thanks a lot! Really helpful suggestions! I will investigate the issue and will let you know when I detect the problem.

Ok found it here: ua-cam.com/video/QKziy6YmDZE/v-deo.html
Is it really that simple? Surely there is more than one screw?
@@CycloneCyd Yes, just one screw! Fixed it in 1 minute
What’s the small stick you use to removed the clips
Lollipop stick or coffee stirrer.
Hey, which year Seat Ibiza is this?
It's an Ibiza 6J. 6J is mk4 from model years 2008 to 2016. Ours is 2014.
Someone’s just nicked my mirror cover. Weird because the mirror is still there...
Scumbags❗ You can't know they didn't damage it getting it off

@@Eric_Hunt194 Update after 3 years 😅: I later found it across the road where I parked. Must’ve been someone that clipped it off whilst driving
