Of course an awesome mock up tool would be great. Also someway to know that the design is close to the size it will be on the apparel. For example we set a 10 inch wide design and when it goes on the apparel it is scaled at 10".
With the scale and position of the apparel photos changing it would be quite difficult to find an average import size- maybe just a little ruler tool or something? We'll get with our development team and see what we can do!
Yes it would help me I would like the grid
Another great video and yes, that mock up/placement/sizing tool/grid is great. I'd love to have that at my disposal.
Thanks for letting us know- We always appreciate the feedback- Keep an eye out, we'll have it coming soon!
This video is great! A mockup tool would be so helpful.

GOOD VIEDO, THANKS
Thanks Jack! We're always happy to help out.
Thanks for all the information you shared! Step by step my business is growing by applying your techniques! Quick question, What are the red marks on the printed T-shirt? When comparing to the mock-up size on the second 13:10.
That's awesome to hear Victor! We're so glad we can help out. Those red marks look like some red fill lighting we had in the studio to add some color to the studio set. You can see it on the garments in the background too in that same side-by-side shot.
I love this video especially the tool you created how can we get it?
Thanks! All these tools are available for free (just setup a free account) at www.transferexpress.com/designer
Is it possible to share the sizing grid or a video on how to create it? Thanks!
Hi Anthony, we're working on including a similar tool in a kit for decorators. Although it's fairly easy to one yourself: We took a photo of a t-shirt from above with a ruler laid over top, then removed the ruler and took another photo. In photoshop we sized a grid to 1" increments to the size of the ruler on a different layer that can be toggled on and off.
Love the mockup feature but I notice a problem. If I create me design and then put it on the shirt and resize it, the size I like on the shirt does not transfer over to the print design. In other words, if i create a design that is 10" wide but then i resize it on the shirt mockup and realize a smaller version is better, the size i made it on the mockup doesn't change to that size when i send my design to get printed. It will stay at a 10" even though I made it small enough that its a pocket size. Its great to show your client what the shirt will look like but if the size doesn't change on the mockup and transfer over to what you send to print, then the mockup design is useless if my designs stay the same original size. Like the 10" design. Or am I doing something wrong here?
No, you're doing it right, however the mockup feature is separate from the editor and will not change sizing on your artwork to be ordered. Since the model shots vary widely in size, scale and position, there's too many variables to accurately size the graphic automatically. What appears to be 4" on one apparel style may look 8" on another.
While some of the tips (like using the collar as a reference for measurement) we use here in this video to estimate the graphic size works quite well, the best way to accurately size graphics is using accurate measurements on actual garments, similar to how we show in this video on sizing and placement: ua-cam.com/video/USBAQ6ulrmE/v-deo.html
On what basis is your constructor built, through what platform did you implement it in your website??
I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you're asking exactly, but we're showing the Easy View Online Designer at transferexpress.com in this video here.
You can design online with just a free account: www.transferexpress.com/designer
What color print is the one you have on your black shirt?
The shirt that Dave (me) is wearing? While it's a water-based screen print (purchased, not printed here) that's been through the wash more than a couple times, my best guess would be Cool Grey 7 or 8, pretty close to the "Grey" standard ink color in our plastisol ink selection.
Which software do you use for designing
We're using Easy View Online Designer, the free online tool for designing and mocking up t-shirts. You can get started at www.transferexpress.com/designer - Just sign up for a free account to get access!
Also once I create my mock up, how can I get it downloaded on to my own computer?
In the main mockup menu on the left side (you may have to hit the back arrow on the apparel selection screen) you'll see a green download button near the bottom (you can see it at 9:35 in this video).
If client ordered in volume S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL sizes. Which size shirt is best to use for the mockup?
Typically you'd choose the median size or the average of the order, so in your case, size according to the large t-shirt. For reference, it's most common for those model shots on apparel supplier websites to be medium t-shirts, so in many cases its easier to go with that and set the expectation of graphic sizing for your customer.
I'm so frustrated. I uploaded my own mock up tshirt but when I try to overlay my graphic that I chose from transfer express on to it, I can't see it. It is probably a layering issue? I'm sure its something simple that I can not figure out. Please help!
Im so sorry you're having issues, we just tried to mockup a design with an uploaded graphic and the stock graphics and the mockup feature seems to be working ok- There was some light maintenance on the website this weekend that may have caused some anomalies. If the problem is not resolved, you can submit a resolution in your account dashboard- please send us over the file to we can try to recreate the issue and solve it!
Why is easy view just for usa only
As Easy View is primarily built as a design and ordering platform for our screen printed transfers, we would not be able to ship/fulfill orders outside the United States and Canada.
