Hi MAD Detailing! Just got my coffee and getting ready to watch you work your magic on this vehicle!
oh you a super fan huh
@@xxashleylovexx8511 not a super fan. Just a friend and regular fan. I know that commenting pushes the videos so Amazon will promote them more.
I had the Plymouth version of this car which was the Turismo. That was a fun car to ride around in.
Love this model. Glad to know that there are people willing to preserve these modern classics. These are becoming rare to extremes ! They look so great in a car show because how unusual they are !
I just got a daytona project and it's so uncommon and nobody makes replacement parts anymore
@@jamesbellew1253 turbo Z?
@@tvguy12346 es sadly
It's because they weren't appreciated when they were new and people just threw them away for the crusher
Where did you find an old Chrysler product without rust? Absolutely amazing. Thank you,
That was my first car..same year..same model, same color. This video brought back a flood of memories!! Thank you!
I had one of those in baby blue. Loved that car.
Wow
Amazing job as usual! It is very hard to find a car more than 15 years old that is not completely rotted due to winter salt in CT, car looks great!
Love the red interior!!
yes me too...remember my 1985 plymouth turismo duster i buy in 1994....red on red...good olds days!!
I love watching you clean car seats because you always do a magnificent job and always make them look brand new again. This one was no different. Great job well done as usual. Personally, I couldn't be doing with all that red interior, it would make my eyes water lol 😆.
Honestly, I’d just touch up the black on the rear bumper and call it done. Perfect cruiser condition. Clean wheels, and a polish can do wonders
Looks great! I had one of these cars back in 1985 in a deep charcoal grey. It was a good first car. Enjoyed the video.
My grandpa had a 1982 Dodge Charger when I was a kid. So I’m kinda sentimental to those cars. Would love to get my hands on one someday.
The body on this is really good. Normally they rusted out pretty quick. I always like that generation charger and the Plymouth Duster.
I doubt an ‘85 Charger has ever been so loved.
I’ve had several. Even a Plymouth Turismo. Loved them all.
Those seats - wow - just wow
My wife's first new car was a 86 Charger, hers came with option base clear metallic grey. She loved it.
You did a fantastic job and you saved 10's of hours of work for the body guys. Good work.
Dodge attention to quality during this era is amazing and it shows because the materials have withstood the time
Easily one of my top 5 favorite exterior washes! So satisfying to watch that APC tackle that surface dirt and then watch it get blasted away with the power washer!
I have MaD APC in a 2 gallon chaplin sprayer but I think im going to get the round-up one you have as you seem to have better foam/suds out of it. Plus the spray fan is a nice width. I go through that APC quick man its awesome.
Excellent work Foster! I loved the part when u polished the car! see how brillant the paint became after the treatment was fantastic. Congrats man! i really appreciated this and all of your detailings! Keep goin and god bless you for bringing back to life all kind of cars!
Beautiful red burgundy interior. That's a dream for me right there. Great job , love these types of cleaning videos
Its crazy that this car is still in such a good shape and condition for its age
Still amazing that called that car a Charger. Great detail work.
Nice job,looking great.
That interior. If I ever need to describe the 1980s to someone. That's it, right there.
I've had the 1983 Plymouth Turismo, I wished I had the Charger front bumper mask and dual headlights to put on it, it looked so awesome!
She looks stunning!
Another great job!
Thank you for another awesome video
Growing up in the 80s I have a soft spot for these kind of cars.
It's just like every red car from the 80's. It's 5 different shades of red. My 88 Mustang is the same way
I wish I could have this car! It's a 85 the year I was born, it's red my favorite color, and it's a Dodge the only company I will drive. You made it look so beautiful after you were done. Getting to watch you work is always fun 😊
How have dodges been for you in terms of reliability? My 06 charger left me stranded on numerous occasions. I kinda want to get another though before they go all electric...
@@Vagabundo74 back in 2008-10 I had a Dodge ram 1500 and she was already an old truck but I let my friend drive her while I was out of town and he never put oil in her and I didn't know but I came back and then drove her around for a few months without oil not knowing and she never broke down for me until I gave her to my ex-husband and she said nope I don't drive for men anymore and broke down on him. My truck loved me but I will never get to see her again 😢
My first car was a dodge shadow. Love the work
Ayo, you don't wear the Crocs no more? It ain't MAD Detailing without the Crocs... 😁
On a different note, you did a great job on the Charger. Even with the oxidation and other minor issues, the car still held up pretty good after all these years!
Interior looked amazing!! ✨️ Great work. 👍
Honestly, you’re probably the best detailer on UA-cam. I have watched many others like, The Detail Geek, and your work is far more thorough. The care and passion you have is easily seen in your determination to get things looking new again. You don’t work until the stain is gone, you work until the water is clear. No other detailer I’ve seen makes that same effort. If I lived in Florida I would be bringing all my vehicles to you on the regular. Keep doin what you’re doin.
Nice work. Unless there was something different on this car, all that I am aware of had vinyl and cloth upholstery. Surprised that someone is taking the time to restore this. When you were extracting the seats, how much was dirt and how much was fabric dye coming out?
No leather in the normal ones, Shelby models maybe, but not this. It’s just an Omni under those charger badges.
My first car was a 1984 Plymouth Turismo with the "2.2" decal and trim package. My car had the same interior as this one (right down to the same tear in the driver's side bolster - and yes, that's vinyl, not leather) but in gray, and some additional equipment like cruise and rear defogger. The exterior was done in two-tone silver and grey paint and tape stripes and badging.
Of note, Chrysler was one of the first domestic automakers to use basecoat/clearcoat paint, as this one has. And yeah, it doesn't make much sense to "restore" one of these... but if I found another one like mine I'd do it anyway!
Not even the Shelbys had leather, same basic seat with Shelby logos
@@bullitt3980 that’s what I figured but wasn’t sure.
Most kids (young adults) these days don’t know the difference between leather and not leather. Now you have car companies charging an assload for “vegan leather”…
WTF is that???!
@Project_Low_Expectations most people of any days don't know the difference between vinyl and leather
My first car ever was a 1985 Dodge Daytona Turbo. My mind is blown that a car like this exists still, without it being a full blown restoration. They were not built to last.
I loved those Daytonas! And the IROC-Z, the ultimate 80’s car 😎
Watching that dirt slide off is so relaxing thank you
Had a 86 Chrysler Laser, this detail really stirred up some old great memories, thank you 🙏
Amazing transformation 😍
What can I say.... another fantastic video. You really really made sweet transformation on this car!! Still a little too fast through the cleaning but I love it and rewatch till I'm satisfied!! 😍😍
Looks a million times better! That HD Speed really does the job. Keep up the good work.
My uncle had one of these for years. A marvelous piece of junk, but it'll be great to see one on the road.
Love seeing an older dodge! More dodges and more older abandoned vehicles!! Big fan!! Keep it up!
Very cool car. Now that I look at it years later. Don't see many of these out there now. Happy to see someone restoring one. Awesome job with the cleaning!
My first car was an 84 Turismo, black on black with charcoal interior and rear louvers (and exact same steering wheel as this car). I had a chance to buy a 71 Buick skylark with an Olds 350 Rocket for $500, but I passed on it, because it also needed exhaust from the heads back, the windshield was cracked and other odds and ends that would have ate up my entire budget. The deal breaker: it resprayed it plum crazy purple. After I passed on it, 3 days later my neighbor gave me the Turismo for free. I immediately started detailing it and replacing pieces (using my original budget) my neighbor was so happy to see how much time and money I was putting into it that he said it confirmed he made the right decision. I only got it because it was still in great condition, but the dealership would only give him $200 trade-in value, so he told them to get bent.😆
Nicely done
Loved this one! I have an 87 Shelby charger and I don't ever want to get rid of it. If you wanna send some spare parts I'd appreciate it. Lol
I had an 85 Shelby. Miss the hell out of that car. GLHS?
@@tvguy12346 nah just a basic 4 cylinder turbo with manual trans. I don't have that special intake or the tach sticker. Luckily I have all the matching parts though.
Thanks for sharing your great work on there. God bless.
I can't lie after you got done cleaning that car that thing looked great like a new car practically I don't even know if I think the guy needs to restore it after that
Nice
Once again, a masterpiece. Let’s get some more likes here, people! One out of 13 people “Like” the work that was done? Not going to believe that. Please show some love! I’m just old enough to have been in several of these cars as my high school friends were scraping together funds to buy them. Brings back memories.
I just got flashbacks of my 1984 Charger. First car in 1989 and I knew every piece and panel of that thing because it rattled so bad. My OCD 17 yr old self would glue foam backing into any space or panel to stop squeaks and rattles. Insanity. But fun memories seeing this one cleaned up.
Love your work and videos!!
Super job🌠
some are probably like "why?"
i'm watching going "hello old friend. good to see you once again."
I used to have a '84 Chrysler Laser which is very similar to the Charger and I forgot how incredibly cheap the interiors from this generation of Chryslers looked. Great job as usual. My Laser has single stage paint and I am surprised this has base/clear.
My Mother in law had 1985 Charger. It had Black exterior and Red interior. I believe the engine was a 2.2 4 cylinder and a automatic transmission. It was a decent car for its time. Better than a K- car. Shawn.
I've owned tons of 80's Chrysler products over the years. Glad to see one on here!
oh man, I had an '82 Charger. 4 speed with a 2.2 liter engine. Pulled hard to the left on heavy acceleration. Loved that poor example of a charger
I owned two of these brand new....amazing little cars and never ever gave me a problem, either one of them I use to only keep a car 2 or 3 years but in the time I owned mine, they ran great!
Aren't those seats VINYL, not leather?
You are correct
Top bloody job. For the condition, it came up really well.
Talk about a throwback Thursday. If it has original paint, I would leave it alone, paint the rear bumper, do a complete tune-up and enjoy it
It looked like each panel was painted by a different shop 😂
@@MADDETAILING 😂🤣🤣
My first car was a red with red interior 1987 Dodge Charger. The memories brought back by seeing this. My fondest. Junior year, winter time, I go out to my car, open the door, and the horn goes off. I had to get my Uncle up to unplug the horn!
Nice job! That little L-body was actually in great shape! You can tell the previous owner didn’t abuse it, because those interiors were cheap and would fall apart at ~100k mikes. Makes me wish I had my ‘83 again.
Now slap a Hellcat badge on it 😎🔥
Brought it back to life 🔥
When you dilute the MAD APC 1:10 in the sprayer, how much total fluid oz will you use?
Omg that engine looks so small hahaha. But you brought that interior back to life. Great job.
Hey guys, I bought one of those bottles to apply the soap with my pressure washer and I thought the 3/8ths connections were air connections, they are not. What kind of connections are on these things? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks John
Never knew this charger existed until just now that I saw this video, imagine telling people you drive a charger and pull up in this 😂
My parents had this exact car when I was little, what a cool find
one of the cars that saved chrysler, always liked these designs for some reason. even the k-Cars.
I want this car 😭 You did an amazing job btw.
You did it again M.A.D. !
Bravoooo ! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💯
It looks so close to the 85 Mustang
I had one of those, I miss it
WOW thats nuts how good that polish came out, id be surprised if the owner even decided to do a full repaint.. i'd leave it as is
HellCat drive train sleeper would be awesome.
Interesting car... I had a dodge Omni 024 1980 that was just like this Charger... they renamed it the charger in 1985 I think. Nice job thanks for sharing .
Charger name came on in 1983.
Car was made the same year I was born. Good to know we can clean up well at our age 😂
You're my hero!!!! We should be friends!!! ♥
You Are My friend we should be heros!!!!!
Back in the 80’s, my older cousin had The Charger 2.2 I always thought that car was so Bad Ass!
Good job love it ❤️❤️❤️
Haven't seen one of those cars in a long time but in those days gas was going up so instead of a muscle car it became a muscles car awesome video nice 👍 job
Thought that was an opel manta at first
Hey just watched you detail that party bus all by yourself was really impressive. Also watching you clean boats 🚤 are some of the BEST detailing videos on UA-cam 👍🏾👍🏾👌🏾👌🏾and i appreciate you always detailing properly by removing the carpet. Great job guys as always!!!
Please consider doing more extraction and pressure washing compilations 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Hi Jazzmine
@@makayla8693 hello 👋🏽
I've always wondered if one of those fwd Chrysler's could be converted to rwd with the.engine in the back like a Porsche.
This made me a little sad...I owned, brand new, an '84 Plymouth Turismo...basically the same car. Mine was a beautiful copper color. Had to let it go when the kids came along. Best hatchback I ever owned! I think I may still have the original AM radio which was swapped out for an AM/FM stereo system. This car came out amazing! The seats look brand new!
The charger that looks nothing like a charger. lol!
I live in CO and I know that I’m high right now, but not enough to make me believe that charger came with leather. Lol
I've been watching detailing-videos for quite some time now and really enjoy these transformations. But what surprises me again and again is how much of the work is done by hand! I would have thought that professionals have fancy robots and stuff! But obviously nothing compares to a good eye, a good touch, a good eye-hand-coordination and the ability of the human body to change direction and angle so quickly! I guess that's another reason we enjoy these videos, we see how much hard work goes into it! Thanks!
This is what I was talking to you about when we were discussing the tractor one day paint just about as bad!
Looks Like a Opel Manta b
That interior was pretty nice for a 37 year-old vehicle!
