Thank you for sharing. My hair started thinning after menopause so I started wearing wigs. I love my wigs, (different styles, colors, lengths). Every time a woman says " I love your hair" I say thanks, it's a wig. I want to empower other women to not be afraid to try wigs. I recently had a woman compliment my "hair" and after I told her it was a wig, she told me about her friend who had cancer and didn't know where to find wigs or anything about them, so I wrote down my favorite 2 websites to buy wigs at (Wigstudio 1 and Godiva Secret Wigs) and also explained how UA-cam had many videos about wig wearing tips and how to care for your wigs. I was so happy that I was able to help someone by not hiding the fact that I wear wigs :).

Thank you Eileen! You have helped me feel less conspicuous and more comfortable and confident wearing wigs. I did not have cancer….fortunately, but wasn’t blessed with great hair and now menopause has made it even worse….
Wigs make me feel better about myself and while some might feel its vain or shallow to be concerned about your physical appearance…. heartily agree with you….do what makes you happy! 😊

I too lost my hair due to chemo. I had triple negative breast cancer. I just went through surgery, chemo and finished my radiation just a week ago. I agree loosing your hair no matter the reason is pretty traumatic. On top of finding out I had breast cancer at 65 I lost my dog (cancer) and my mom. When my hair started falling out I also shaved my head. My first experience with wearing a wig was to attend my moms funeral. Just to let you know you have been such a big help in my wig journey and now recovery. I watched and commented on your video about the red Raquel Welch wigs and since bought Current Events in Golden Russet. I don’t think I’ll ever have long hair again once it grows out. Wearing wigs is just to much fun. Thank you !!

I get so many compliments on the two wigs I have! It still shocks me somewhat because I'm not used to someone complimenting my hair. And they ARE thinking it is hair! Even people who see me often don't realize and say they love the new way I'm styling my hair. I always tell them it's a wig. I love it! And, I will say again, the only reason I have the confidence to wear my wigs all the time is you Eileen! You have such a warm way about you, such genuine caring for all of us. And you are so much fun! You taught me to not take myself too seriously. Thank you so much for all you give to us every single video! Love ya!

Thank you for sharing your story once again. You are such a precious soul and advocate for all of us, whether we need a wig or not.
My bio hair is a dumpster fire and was a constant source of stress for me. Wigs have been a miracle, especially when my husband went through multiple hospitalizations throughout his cancer journey.
One thing that was of no concern to me during that time was dealing with what was and was not growing out of my head. I could put all my attention on advocating for and supporting my husband.
I’m incredibly thankful for wigs and the many women who have stepped out of their own comfort zone to help others find their miracle.

Terrific video! Thanks for sharing your own journey, and I love you hung on to your first wig, even if just for sentimental reasons. I feel very encouraged now, and know now my emotional struggle is quite normal. I think some of us go through a grieving process losing our hair, and that doesn't go away overnight. Those first ladies in Dallas sounded wonderfully supportive for you, I'm so glad you had that to help you. I'm finding that I'm actually beginning to enjoy shorter time in the shower, and no more time styling my own hair, as honestly it was a chore sometimes. Plus the money I'm saving not having to get it cut/colored every 8 weeks. Its money I can use to buy wigs, so that's been helpful. And no more concern about getting a bad haircut, or a bad coloring job! I'm gradually finding myself enjoying picking out my wig to wear, and have recently decided to keep my bio hair cut very short. I cant believe I'm saying this, but I'm finding I miss my own hair less as time goes on. Thanks again for this video, its helped me a lot, and I'm sure will help other "new to wigs" sisters. God bless!,

Oh Eileen, You have touched my heart with the story of your first wig and tears came to my eyes when you showed us Eureka Corey. I wear wigs because I couldn't get my hair colored/cut due to the lock down. I started with budget wigs loaded with permatease and almost gave up cause the permatease felt like needles poking my scalp! Anyway, I started watching your videos and some others and boy, oh boy, did I ever become wig obsessed! I love trying new styles and being a blond. Was a brunette my whole life. Thank you for your loving, kind and encouraging words. You are making a positive difference in more people's lives than you'll ever know❤

She certainly is a remarkable woman. She has contributed to my continuing education on wigs a lot. I love her uplifting attitude and not limiting yourself to a certain style, cut, etc. She described being a "newbie" when starting out on a wig journey. It is a very personable decision. My hair loss is from inflammation from Systemic Lupus that has damaged my follicles too badly for my hair to grow back. Alopecia. Her thoughts to wearing wigs is so similar to the way I felt in the beginning with wigs. It relieved me to know of someone else's journey and that I was not the only one to go through a process of my choice to wear wigs. I am deeply sorry Eileen had to go through cancer. Thank God she was spared. We're blessed to have her share her life and knowledge freely with us. Eileen does look beautiful in red color wigs in any style. She looks good in any color and style I have seen her wear. Deeply grateful for Eileen.

I just started wearing wigs…I have super fine and now thinning hair. My son use to tease me that I had feathers for hair because it was so fine. Love your videos and I am loving the Raquel Welch wigs because of the quality and fit. One lesson I have learned is that not all wig shops are created equal. The staff are not always well trained in the delicacy of first time wig wearers. If you are not satisfied…leave. I encourage everyone to just keep trying them on! I am 69 years old and for the first time in my life I can say I love my hair. God Bless!

I love that you say why not wear a wig? I mean no one bats an eye if you wear mascare or fake lashes. No one bats an eye when you go to the nail salon, because of whatever reason and wear alternative nails basically. No one asks you why do you wear them. But when you wear wigs you are asked that question. The first time I wore a wig, it was because I wanted bangs and just try out a hair color that was not my own. My hair has never been great, your story about the barette, very relatable. So I would not but heat to it ir dye it. I received compliments even though it was a cheap amazon wig, but when I said it is a wig, immediately the question followed, why do you wear it. Back then I was like because I wanted to just change things up. Now I actually deal with hairloss, twice after covid, last time in August I am not sure what happened but I just ran my hand through my hair, it came out. It was in my food, it was everywhere, it is kind of stabile now, but I don't know what caused it. It never looked great before and now it looks worse. I now wear wigs, but it feels like a lot. I am also terrified of ruining that lace. It takes 15 minutes to put them on and get them perfect. The ones who don't have lace or are cheaper have a bunch of permatease, and even Ellen Wille wigs look to me like I have a lot of hair. So I just keep trying, because I listen to lovely ladies like you. I am sorry for the way you entered your wig journey, but I am happy you are still here to educate us all and empower us. Thank you so much for that. Btw I love your budget friendly wig videos, you know what I love the most, is you saying that one price can feel budget friendly for one and expensive for someone else, so mindful. I really appreciate that.

Really love you sharing you journey and advice. I'm a new to start wearing wigs after have really bad skin cancer in my scalp right where my bangs were (yep, they are permanently gone from radiation treatment). It would be very helpful if healthcare professionals in the oncology field were more supportive and positive about wearing wigs. Losing your bio hair whether it part or all of it, is scary. Having more support of healthcare professionals reminding us how fun changing your hairstyle with wigs when you want without going to a salon is. The nurse practitioner, who was overseeing my radiation therapy, said a good hairstylist can teach you combover technique to hide my huge bald spot where my bangs once were. Can you believe that??!! Love your channel and content you share with the viewers 💗

I love this video! Thank you for sharing your story and for your kindness toward others. It’s so hard for many women, myself included, to accept that we have many choices today, that we deserve those choices, and we should relish and enjoy them to the fullest, regardless of what others think. At age 33, having just graduated from law school, my daughter was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer, she underwent a double mastectomy and chemo, including an experimental chemo. She had beautiful long blonde hair and lost it all. Similar to you, she had her long-time hairdresser shave her head. Her brother and I took her to wig shops in Boston where she was being treated, and she picked out a blonde (human hair) wig equivalent to the length of her natural hair. It’s price was $1300. She did not have health insurance at that time so coverage wasn’t an optioned. This past April, her oral chemo was discontinued and she reached 10yrs. as a cancer survivor. Three years ago, she moved to Europe to be with her fiancé who is finishing his last year of medical school. She has flourished in Europe eating healthier garden grown foods and not exposed to the stresses we have here in the US. Life is good and I thank God for all of it! God bless you, Eileen!🩵🙏

Thank you so much for your video. I have fine thin hair and it's gotten worse after menopause. I've had medical issues where I've had to have numerous PET CT scans and regular CT scans. My hair has shed a lot after each one of those. It has grown back but not back to the way it use to be. I laughed when you said with your 1st wig you felt like it was a lot of hair and everyone was looking at you. I remember feeling he same way. I'm still fairly new to wigs but learning a lot thanks to you. Thank you again so much for your videos!

Eileen: This video is terrific. I’ve been wearing wigs for about two years…and watching your videos. I’m going to send this video to a friend of mine that has thinning hair but she is very shy about wearing her wigs (2 wigs). She is a beginner with wigs and I think this will help her so much. 🦊

Eileen I am so Thankful to all you wonderful ladies and men who do these videos on hair loss. I am also so happy we have so many views on so many beautiful wigs. I have been wearing wigs now for over 15 years. I had beautiful thick hair and never thought that stress could cause me to lose my hair until it started falling out in the shower. Yes I ran to the only shop in my area that sold wigs it saved me from more stressful days. I was helping my father care for my mother who had a stroke then open heart surgery. At the same time my mother in law was having some trouble then we realized she had dementia. Now I have lost all my hair. I seen my doctor who said it may come back once things got less stressful. My father in law past away and we moved my mother in law in with us and I became her care giver. My husband was an only child with no idea what to do. So I took care of her and still helped my dad with my mom. I would do it all over again to have them all for one more day.. So no my hair has never come back so I do just keep the little I have short. I wear a wig everyday. Yes call me vain because I never let anyone see me without a wig. I say I wear wigs and help others with hair loss. Sorry so long. Thank you for all you do. ♥️🙏🌴

Eileen, you are the best! And, oh dear, you are so very right! I followed your best advice and began with a basic cap wig. For my personal budget, it really was a strain. But, I tried to follow my very own best advice and that is that you always will 'get what you pay for '. I also followed yours as well as many of the other top wig Utuber's best advice and to look for something that was as close to your own biohair color and style that you had or were used to at one time.
Well, of course, just as you said....I was completely aghast! Yes, it was WAY too much hair! Yes, I HATE permatease!
NOW, this begs the question ❓ WHAT to do NOW?? Since, I have already stretched that thin budget as thinly as I wish that first wig had been.
I guess it is time to regroup and refill the coffers. But, knowing what little I do know now. I am literally breaking out in a cold sweat 💦😅 each and every time I look at a new wig review. Now, I find myself overthinking it. Because, I am so very fearful of breaking the bank again. Dare I try one (or two, or three?) of those cheaper styles that people are claiming to call 'real winners' from places like Amazon or Temu? Dare I head over to E-bay or open social media and serve myself up as the proverbial sacrificial lamb and throw caution to the wind? Dare I begin to shop the clearance market or the 'open box' market (yes, I am learning!)??
Oh.... what to do, what to do? At this point, I have progressively peeled the sides from each of the sides of each and every one of my poor fingernails from each and every one of my poor little fingernails off as I have continued my avid and active search here on my trusty tablet to tearing what little hairs that I have left yet out of my ever wrinkling top of my forehead!
Please help 🙏! Your next best suggestion?
I actually have begun to look at pixies and something tells me that this might be a bit of an overreaction.
W do you think 🤔? I just love all of your videos and trust your judgement implicitly! By the way, you have the very best taste in both fashion and home decor, I just adore that gorgeous lamp behind you with the beautiful birds and and the exquisite lampshade! 👩‍🦳🙏❤️❤️

You have inspired me Eileen! I recently purchased BT Honeybush and was checking it out in the mirror before I stepped out. I was shocked to see the obvious bulge of my ponytailed bio hair underneath. I immediately took off the wig & cut several inches off my bio hair & left just enough length to make a ponytail (which I need for my head shape to hold my wigs on). I thought what am I hanging on to this length for? I always wear a wig anyway. I had just watched this video & that’s all I needed to finally cut my bio hair short after years. Now it’s so easy to put under my wigs! Thank you 😊🍃💐🍃

I love love my wigs. I'm funny tho. I could care less about the cap as long as it's not too big or too small. As long as the adjusters are velcro, and not bra strap closure, I'm happy. I'm scared to get a red, but I will get up the nerve soon. I have super thin hair with age and genetics. It used to be great but not now. Thanks for this. I am new to wigs. Losing lots of hair due to aging and stress. My real hair has never been great. Frizzy in areas, straight in the crown, waves, curls and tons of cowlicks. My mom always kept it in a pixie and I did the same. My post menopausal hair is even worse. I hate the texture.

I watch you very frequently & greatly enjoy. One tiny question: I purchased the roll-on glue that you use on your hair to hold everything in place, BUT each time I go to use it it’s already frozen and glued in place - will not roll or dispense! The ball does not roll. The glue is stuck although I have put the cap on tightly, is there some secret that I am missing????
