Naoki Kodaka's music is very easy to tell apart from other NES composers. He also worked on Journey to Silius, a game I haven't thought about in ages. Ufouria was supposed to be released in North America back during the NES games, but it was cancelled in that region. In 2023, the game was remade and released on modern consoles (it's called Hebereke: Enjoy Edition) with a sequel released in March 2024. If you can believe it, the gameplay is very close to the original Metroid but easier. I might give this game a try one day!
